Beginner here. I have my BTC and XRP in a NGRAVE coldstorage device (airgapped) for long term storage. They are working at swap options. At the moment these go through a third party. In the future they will work via smartcontracts.

I need a different hardware wallet with instant swap options for about 7 altcoins, some top 20 and 3 or 4 top 100. Like Virtuals Protocol, Aerodrome Finance, and Pyth Network.

I like it to be user friendly, but it has to be safe. I am very worried about Ledger knowing the seed phrase of the users. Or firmware updates leading to hacks.
That said I do not know if I have to worry about Ledger Flex, for example. I know it is compatible with the altcoins I need to get away from the DEX.

Can anyone give me a list of recommendations? Safe, user friendly, and with easy swap options that I don't want to be traceable.

I am based in Europe

I don't know anything about XRP, but I think the best option for custodying altcoins is Trezor as it is open-source and thoroughly reviewed. For bitcoin, there are great options for airgapped setup, like SeedSigner (preferred), ColdCard and Passport Core.

What do you mean "instant swap options"? If you already have an airgapped setup, what else do you need? If you need to frequently trade, then what you need is not a cold storage.

He can use another swap service like the one on Cake wallet for it. I have not used it before but I have seen some people recommended it on this forum and no one make complaints about it yet.

What he has to do is to provide his receiving address and the coin he wants to convert from and send it to an address the swap service will provide. He can still make use of the cold wallet. I think Trezor Suite also has swap service like this.

In NGRAVE, I can swap my tokens in coldstorage (XRP and BTC) directly from coldstorage via a third party that they work with.

I don't trade frequently with these 2. In fact XRP will never be sold and BTC will only be sold if we hit $150k this cycle. I will swap it for stables directly from coldstorage.

This airgapped device only supports some of the top 10 tokens and all ERC-20 tokens. So not most of the altcoins in the top 100 I mentioned.
I want to get these off of the exchange and swap them from coldstorage too.

On december 31st of 2025, the IRS in my country will start monitoring all balances across DEX'es in my country.
It is a direct attack on privacy. I need something safe that supports all of my altcoins, and allows trading stables.

Instant swap like these often comes with limitations, some that have instant swap don't have all coins. They do add coins by demand and not by top 20 like you said, the top 100 coins from market cap might not be top 100 from virtual protocol or similar service if there is one in any hardware wallet.

I'm not sure if there has been any leak of seed phrase from ledger or firmware updates that led to hacks. There were only reported exploit of mail address which happen some years back and that has nothing to do with any of the shipped wallets.

Scammers used the compromised mails try to phised seed phrases from people acting as ledger company. Some were even going physical to send mail to home addresses. You can read a thread I reported here, Fake Ledger physicial upgrade scam

Download Cakewallet and go through its swap service.

But if you need a reputed hardware wallet for something like this, get Trezor and use Trezor Suites with it. It is open source and support many shit coins.

Edit:
I thought you meant XRP will go $150, not knowing you are referring to bitcoin going $150000.

Yea, Trezor Suite has a swap service provider which enables users to swap from one coin to another. The service provider is 1inch Fusion and Invity. I have used cake wallet to swap from one coin to another and everything went smoothly. However, it's a software wallet and I think that OP is talking about a hardware wallet.

I don't think that cake wallet can be used to swap XPR because it's not listed in the wallet.

The addresses that you will provide does not necessarily need to be on Cake wallet. Cake wallet also has the QR code feature which you can use to scan the wallet address from another wallet as long as your device has camera. So this should not be of any problem.

I am not implying him to use Cakewallet, but to use just its swap service.

It is just like saying ripple will get to $9 trillion. Do not always believe what you read on the news. I am not advising you but I am just saying.

That is the wrong math, nearly always described with that argument.
If an XRP God candle prints, it will not come from a giant increase in market cap. It will come from an available supply shock.
Unlike BTC with fixed supply, XRP has a burn rate per transaction and supply will only decrease once it is integrated in the financial system.
If it is chosen for international settlements, it needs a very high price per token in order to succeed.
I do not believe that Ripple keeps building all these international ties if it is not going to be used.

But hey. We can agree to disagree. Let's find out in 5 years, and again 5 years later.
