Bitcoin Lubian Hack, US the Ultimate Suspect, which is what the news headline talks about, but before that, we may take a little whine back to the Lubian Hack in 2020 which resulted from the Chinese mining pool, now this is what spart more reaction that led to the accusation of US being the mastermind of this hack, as almost the entire BTC127,000 hacked remained dormant until last year when it was traced to be sent to the US government address in July 2024.

From the investigation by Chinese National Computer Virus Emergency Response Center (CVERC), they discovered that US has been in custody of the hacked fund since last year before filing a report against Chen Zhei over its decision on forfeiture as claimed by US, while there are enough evidence showing that it has been transferred to them already.

Evidence have been shared concerning the transaction made from the hackers account to the address named US Government and the note left on the blockchain transaction soliciting for the refund with intentions to pay compensations.

In this life, things are happening, all these evidence shows that US could have masterminded the attack in the first place IMO.

Blockchain is sure transparent.  This is one of the strongest features of Bitcoin, no one can hide, especially those who steals other's Bitcoin property.  But with regard to this issue, is it possible that the transaction is from a seized asset of the actual perpetrator?

The US government might be silent about it because it is possibly a secret operation where they apprehended suspected individuals and is highly classified.  We know that the US does not intend to make a Bitcoin reserve by actively buying on the market, but rather create a Bitcoin reserve from seized Bitcoins.  This might be one of these cases.

If anyone still believes what the US, and it's criminal arms such as CIA, say, then it's on them. A lot of atrocities, assassinations, heists, hacks, spy missions, terror attacks, you name it... have been done in the past in the name of protecting United States' National security while behind the scenes, there are a lot of victims from other nations.

The US Government always accuses the "North Korean linked" hackers of orchestrating most of the crypto exchange hacks even without much evidence and will go as far as sanctioning and seizing any service where the funds are passed

Now a case of them performing a hack and the records on the blockchain never lie, but I guess this is where the game of double standards will have to be played. I won't be shocked if there are many more crypto hacks that have been funded by the US still out there at large.
