I found scam copy of website

which is website that holds information about $SBR token .

The scam copy can be found on following link (the link is in code field in order to be unclickable):

It is interesting that scam website is not using dedicated domain, but is on pages.dev domain. This is probably in order to camouflage their website as trusted.

Every click on scam website triggers request to connect wallet, and I advise everyone to avoid visiting website and do not connect their wallet in any case.

UnfortunatelyVirustotal scan does not detect any malware on the site, but nevertheless by being copy of other website is enough to flag this website as scam.

You can verify whether a website is official or not through CoinMarketCap.

I have searched and found that the meme coin project Strategic Bitcoin Reserve (SBR) is indeed listed there, and you can view the project’s official links on its page at the following address: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/strategic-bitcoin-reserve/

I'm not surprised to find such fraudulent websites impersonating the official one. Even the pages.dev domain is a free domain that can be easily created through Cloudflare Pages. Scammers often use because it looks somewhat professional and costs nothing.. Therefore, blind trust in search engine results or promoters of these phishing websites is not advisable, we should do  our research and verification before interacting with any website or any project.

Thank you for your input. I just checked CoinMarketCap to double check if the link for original BitcoinReserve website is legit and it seems that it is. But nevertheless for some reason Virustotal detects malware on the site. So I'm not sure if original site is scam or not.

This isn't the first time that I've seen CMC listing a questionable or rather, suspicious token, so it'd be better to avoid the so-called original website as well!

It is interesting that scam website is not using dedicated domain, but is on pages.dev domain.

I saw scams like this many times in the past when they didn't use similar domains for phishing, but subdomains instead.
Exactly like in this case they are usually offering some crap token airdrops, and they are trying to collect information from users, and than ask for seed phrase.
It's good idea to report this scam website to g00gle safe browsing, and I did just that:

I missed that button when checking this website out, thank you for bringing it to attention. Good to know they update their databases so quickly that they manage to detect malware in one day.

I just checked their website,it seems that their Telegram cannel isn't working and that their Twitter account is closed. Maybe they already closed operation but who knows. Didn't know that Uniswap scams like this are existing:) BTW nice find!

It’s possible that the entire project is a scam. I honestly haven't heard of it before. Every investor's trust in them depends on the amount of research they've done themselves.

If their official website has been flagged as a phishing site, that's a red flag that should be taken seriously. Also, if they stop updating the project and their channels have become inactive and lacking engagement, that's another red flag indicating that the community has lost interest in the project.

As for meme projects, they are inherently high-risk, and anyone considering investing in such coins should be aware that even if the project is legitimate, there’s still a high possibility of losing all their money.

It's important to note that sites like CoinMarketCap and centralized and decentralized platforms can list even scam or failed projects in exchange for certain fees. Therefore, a project's presence on these platforms doesn't necessarily mean it's trustworthy or legitimate.

One more thing that I noticed is, when I go to visit their webpage, my cell phone slows down considerably and starts lagging.

This led me to suspect that they have some sort of mining software that runs in background of their webpage.

I don't know how can I check if my suspicions are true, but my recommendation is also to avoid both websites.
