There is enough sign that you are getting scammed of your money. Most of this platforms will still require you to deposit another money and they tell you it will help you withdraw that money but all is fake.

No platform that is real will take fee as deposit, the fee you will be charged is just when you make trading order for the broker or exchange. If your order goes beyond that, you are charged swap not evaluation fee.

If you want to learn trade, open a reputable trading company and use demo account.

Exactly right. Prop firms do collect "fees". They sometimes call them challenge fees or evaluation or some other fees. But in the end it is a type of pay-to-play model which almost always ends up in their favor. Some people claim prop firms work but personally, I would not go for it. I do not trade with other peoples money and I do not pay "fees" to hopefully get a good trade.

I haven’t heard of this trading platform before, but from your explanations, it shows that it is a prop firm and this is how they operate. You’ll have to pay a small amount of money and you’ll be given larger amount to trade with. That amount cannot be withdrawn and during that period if you’re able to make a profit from the money, you’ll get to have a percentage of the win too, that’s how they function. They make money from the evaluation fees and also from the profit split they get from your wins.

Yes, it's simply trying to buy a "chance" to access substantial funds without having to deposit any more money. If their evaluation says you "passed the demo," you become their trading pilot, and you start earning in the form of (withdrawable) profit sharing.

This is just a general description of how Prop Firms work; it doesn't mean that Breakout is legit and really pay.

If you think about it, profit sharing is almost the same as being a copy trading leader on a CEX. The difference lies in the requirements:

• no demo, no testing.
• you must risk a higher amount of your own money (private & public balances), and you may need to repeat several times until your performance is attractive enough to be copied.
• you don't manage a single fund ownership; it's the accumulation of your copiers.

So far, I don’t know what trading platform you're referring to, OP, but based on what you’ve said, it seems like it’s supposed to be some kind of demo account. However, the part where you have to pay a fee worth $45 is what you don’t understand. Honestly, there seems to be something fishy about this.

It’s much better with other exchanges that offer a demo account where it’s truly just a demo account, and they don’t ask for anything from users who are just trying it out.

It is actually "genuine". OP traded in a prop firm, though they might not be as regulated as traditional brokers, but it is not as if they run a scam operation, no. You would need to prove to the prop firm that you are a skilled trader during the evaluation phase, in other to get access to the firms capital for trading. I don't know what the success rate is like during the evaluation phase, but i am willing to wager a significant amount that the fee they earn from the evaluation phase is their main source of income, rather than the success of traders who pass this stage.

If you think you have the skills to trade and you do not have any access to capital, then a prop firm is your best bet to start trading and making some kind of profit without any capital of yours.
