Has anyone else here been locked out of their X/Twitter accounts? It seems that people with 2FA are experiencing an "infinite loop" of security key re-enrollment prompts... preventing them from even logging in.

Tried to log in, and I just got blocked for suspicious activity, asking for a verification code from an email that I'm not logged in at this moment. So unable to verify!

I doubt they send the email anyway. They just told me "cannot currently register this email" through the automated error message so I couldn't even re-enroll a security key for the 4th time. Not that it would change anything.

Update: After 3 attempt, I was able to login.

1st time, suspicious error.
2nd time, after giving them code, something went wrong.
3rd time, finally realised I was the real owner.

Tbh, I don't use it for the pain it gave me! Out of nowhere they would lock me out or suspend my account. That really sucked.

Just logged in without any hassle, I don't have two factor auth active anyway ; not sure if the issue you are experiencing in on 2FA side or not.
Anyway checked on Downdetector and seems like no current problems with Twitter (still cannot call it X, sorry) with users able to post tweets across multiple devices and platforms.

sometime when you change your device to login, it may be locked for a security check, you just follow the step to unlock it and that is it.

It looks like they fixed that bug involving security keys. That relieves me, though now I have to re-enable my TOTP-based 2FA *and* link my mobile phone again... ugh.
