It's just another wallet. You can be tipping everybody on X already they usually put their crypto address in their bios.

My concern is whether it's gonna be self custody or custodial wallet, if it's custodial then just use your normal wallet, those are far better.

Elon is all about "freedom of speech" and far-right ideologies. Most likely, the wallet will be a non-custodial one. You'd get to keep your keys/seeds, while "X" manages the rest. But it's a wild guess. Especially when "X" itself is centralized.

The mystery of which cryptocurrency will be integrated into the "X Wallet" remains. I doubt it will be Dogecoin, since it's a "meme" coin. If Elon is serious about this, he will make his own coin instead (X Coin, anyone?). The new crypto has to be "innovative", otherwise it will quickly lose investors' attention. Who knows? Maybe "X Wallet" will be powered by a cryptocurrency with instant, fee-less transactions. An airdrop upon launch would surely attract the masses. We'll see what happens in the long run.

He would have implemented the crypto payment immediately he purchased Twitter, had he wanted the platform to accept crypto. Elon prefers to shill over there and make profits from pumps and dump schemes. As the chief of dogecoin community he could think of adding only doge, and when that happens, X will be crypto compatible, people can exchange for doge and purchase blue ticks, pay for ads, and other amenities on X.

Elon Musk have expressed several times in the past about his preference for Dogecoin, calling it his favorite cryptocurrency, so it would not be wild to assume he is going to implement Dogecoin as a supported asset on his project of e-wallet.
However, we also need to keep in mind he still needs to comply with financial laws in the United States and in Europe, so it is likely he won't initially include Dogecoin, but rather, he will include stablecoins, like USDC so people can send remittances around the world without worrying about fluctuation on value.

There is a trading saying which goes:
"Buy the rumor, sell the news", so if Elon is actually going to support Dogecoin on his e-wallet, this may be the right moment to buy a position.

Doge for payment doesn't make sense. 5 seconds and value already fluctuating so hard, more dramatic than bitcoin.

Its really better if they could add Bitcoin since if you talk about that thing Bitcoin would first to come in the mind of people and Dogecoin will be a far option. But since Elon Musk is known supporter or manipulator of Doge coin well maybe there's a chance that it will be integrated on their X wallet in future.

But for now X wallet didn't add up any crypto since the primary currency they accept is fiat as of this moment. Maybe Musk is avoiding those legal troubles and focus to stay away with crypto for now. If it really happens that they add Doge this will be huge and maybe we can see another round of pump for this coin.

X Money would be another cash app among many but if they be able to integrate depositing and maybe withdrawing with crypto, they could be a great hit.
The problem is the US's strict money regulation which prevents such acts. The regulation also differs according to the state and it would be a great deal if they are able to accept crypto. Elon Musk by his preference would always be open towards crypto but its not always in his hands. If it were for him, we would certainly see crypto support from the start but with regulations, its likely they'll launch accepting credit cards and in future might be able to accept crypto from us based exchanges.

That's very unfortunate. Such move will deceive Dogecoin investors. Elon Musk fooled everyone for his own benefit. It's a good thing DOGE market prices are now moving irregardless of Elon Musk's comments on "X". Since you've mentioned Elon has plans on integrating Fiat on the "X Wallet", the closest thing that comes into mind would be stablecoins. He should have no problem integrating a stablecoin such as Tether or USD Coin into the platform. Especially when they're "regulatory-compliant".

Last time I've read, Elon made a partnership with Visa to roll out its digital payments system on "X". That would be a real game-changer. If the "experiment" proves to be successful, the era of credit/debit cards will come to an end. Stablecoins might have their own credit line in the future. Anyways, people are already tipping each other with DOGE and other cryptos through "X". Who needs Elon Musk's support, anyways?

I am not familiar with this at all, however wouldn't be smarter for him to seize the opportunity and also launch/create his own coin at the same time?

It seems likely that X Money will launch with fiat-based payments first, mainly USD, GBP . Just like many other platforms because crypto is still not that convenient with regulatory, technical aspect and hurdles are still big for crypto payments. May be DOGE will be added as reward / point token and people will get paid for their regular activities with doge. But DOGE will not be the exclusive currency of X anytime soon — especially given regulatory uncertainty . I am not certain about the outcome though

Anyone who thinks Elon Musk was involved with dogecoins creation, or the "group" behind it, do not know the way doge was created. It was just some dude, a coder, doing it for fun and nothing more. It is not a secret who made it, it is not some Satoshi Nakamoto type of stuff, it's a known guy, a coder, who created the first ever memecoin, for a fun reason, didn't even get much himself actually, and the initial way we used it was to sponsor Jamaica bobsled team or a nascar car etc, it was purely out of fun.

They were just rumors. Nothing official. Elon Musk could've decided to get involved in the Dogecoin project directly, but he didn't. Tells us a lot about how serious he is with the cryptocurrency. A direct investment into the development of DOGE would certainly boost things up. I've always imagined Dogecoin with smart contract features and whatnot. I guess it's already too late for that (or is it?).

At this point, I wouldn't expect Dogecoin to be integrated into "X". The platform is better off with a centralized alternative. Stablecoins are a better fit, imo. Especially now with the VISA partnership Elon made for its payments program. Since the current US administration is pro-crypto, "X" won't have any issues in becoming a full-fledged payments system. We'll see what's next in-store for the "everything app".

What about the X money you mentioned, won't they be paying with that? If it's been develop and integrated into a crypto payment to use for it in the ecosystem.

Doge may be used though, but for future investment vision, it's be best to grab some quantity to have an edge leveraging on the news though.

So DOGE may not be fully used in payments. I think the most obvious reason is its volatility, where it is closely related to regulations. So they need to comply with it to maintain their reputation or even a good relationship to the regulator. And what is most likely to be prioritized are several stablecoins when it becomes possible for them to provide payments using crypto.

I think you should still have a good position than getting FOMOd because of it, we aren't sure yet and there's no 100% truth about the information you've mentioned. Also, there are many potential crypto nowadays, especially those used in ETF, this probably another control of the market because Elon lose the control to it recently.

but yeah, since he supports DOGE, it could be the one. Sometimes people get rewarded because of research and good position, If you're right about this and early, you'll hit good profit.

Maybe I'm one of the fewest who think that Doge has no opportunities to be an official currency for X Platform or any of Musk companies. However, I'm not the only one who know about how Musk manipulate the market with Doge to make a pump and dump profit out of it. In a big step like lunching a payment system based on X Platform to facilitate crypto transactions, Doge might be in the supported list of cryptocurrencies but never the main currency-wallet. Dogecoin already supported in many services but no service is relying on it as a main currency because of many reasons.

With Dogecoin, the volatility risk is higher. Especially with its over-inflated supply, and speculative nature. Developers intended it to be a joke currency, rather than a serious one for mainstream payments. Elon Musk is just playing with investors' minds. The integration of DOGE into the "X" platform is off. Who needs Elon, anyways? We can already tip each other with DOGE (or any other crypto) by sharing our addresses with each other.

Dogecoin already has a huge fanbase, so I'm certain it will survive with or without Elon's support. Price-wise, it should get cheaper over time (due to the way it was designed). But Fiat inflation and a prolonged bullish market, could propel DOGE to new heights over the long term. We'll see what's next in-store for "X". Not sure the "X Wallet" will be a huge success, considering there are other competitors way ahead in the game. But Elon is Elon, so we should expect the unexpected.
