Passkey on Stake.com

I always have my account logged in, but yesterday I wanted to login on my second device and I noticed that passkey can now be used on Stake.com (Stake.us for people living in United States) to login instead of password.

I have noticed this on several exchanges but I have not noticed it on any gambling sites before until yesterday when I saw it on Stake.

I have not seen anyone that complained about passkey since I have been seen it on exchanges, but is it safe enough to be used?

Note: I only have just little amount of money that I can afford to lose on gambling sites. This is just for educational reason. Let me see if I can learn from some people about passkey vulnerabilities.

I was active on stake some few years back, and sure passkey features have always been there for additional security on your stake account.

This is not new on stake,  Maybe you are just getting to know about that features on the casino.

I have also seen that feature of either 2fA ir passkeys on a few cryptocurrency casinos that we have around.

I think passkey is just for convenience over additional security, it might looks safer because each fingerprint is unique from one to another person, so the chance for other person to compromise our account should be impossible.

But, I don't feel it's safe because any system always has a vulnerability.

A password with combination password and special letter should be enough to make people not able to access your account., risk of vulnerability is very low for using password.

I don't use alternative logins for any platforms at all. Either I use the save password option, and if not, then I go with the traditional username password way. I don't know the reason but I get used to it and with crypto gambling I don't even add 2FA because I rarely leave any balance with them when I leave.

I use 2FA on Stake, but it will still require you password if you want to login. 2FA for withdrawal if you set it, or you can use email authentication for withdrawal.

I don't know the reason but I get used to it and with crypto gambling I don't even add 2FA because I rarely leave any balance with them when I leave.

I like 2FA, probably because I am very use to it. Even on my dormant accounts, I set 2FA, both on casinos and exchanges.

I have been using it for exchanges and other platforms, and I have not encountered any issue while using it. The only problem that I think might occur is if there is a compromise on the user's cloud, which is linked to the passkey, since the passkey can be synchronized into other devices if access to your cloud, which stores it, is gained. For the time being, I consider it secure until there is some kind of complaint about its security.

Passkey is a very strong security that plays a big role in securing an account. In casino sites, a user can have a lot of winning money and every gambler deposits more or less money there. So the passkey feature will give the user a security. Although there is already a 2FA feature there, it was enough, but when they added passkey to their security system, it will definitely gain more trust from the users towards stake. I think most of the gamblers in this forum have used stake.com at least once, including me. This feature is really commendable, which they were the first to add as a casino site.

I personally do not use that option to log in as I do not consider it to be secure enough. I always use the email/password option and can use passkeys for additional confirmation when already logged in to my account.

If anyone is going to use passkeys I will only advise it for additional security and will not recommend using biometrics.

2FA is enough for me because it's the safest unless someone can get into your email or into your extension if you keep it there to get the code for the casino, but if you think you want more of an alternative login, it's not bad to add a passkey, I haven't done it on stake even though I know it, but on exchanges I have it, especially on platforms that I use a lot for my activities.
