Lt Yerima must be protected by all cost, ever since he had that rit with wike, he has been insulted and threatened by wike's supporters and if anything happens to him, wike will be held accountable. Wike has to call his loyalist to order, let his political enemies not use Lt Yerima to set him up. They can hurt Lt Yerima and wike will face the consequences. Very true my brother, Wike has to treat this matter carefully because it can be used by his political enemies against him, his political enemies might end up hurting Lt Yerima and people might feel that’s it is Wike, that’s why most times i always ensure to avoid direct confrontation with anyone because if anything happens to that person all fingers will be pointing to you even if you are innocent. The social media and influencers too ain’t really helping us this days, they flame up everything and this is really causing more tension in the country, this matter won’t have escalated to this point if not for influencers too.

Wike should find a way an have a round table meeting with the officer and his family, he should also find a way to mend things with the general that owned that land so that everyone will know that he doesn’t have anything in mind against the officer before something will happen to the officer and they will feel that’s him, I hope both parties meet and amend things soon because to me that issue shouldn’t really get this far.

The Minister was really embarrassed on how the Lt. Yerima stood his ground and didn't allow him gain access to the land, the officer's life seems to be at high risk at the moment and he needs to be protected at all course. If any harm befalls the young officer everyone will point finger at the minister thinking he has revenge what the soldier did to him.

Wike's political enemies and opposition can even launch the attack on the young officer and we will assume it's from the minister not knowing he is innocent, the best thing the minister needs to do at this moment is to have a heart to heart talk with the officer and making Peace with him, that will give him assurance that he is safe and if any harm befalls him no one will accuse Wike, but I doubt if anyone can believe Wike if anything happens to the officer. The officer needs to be very careful and limit his moments for the time being because there might be so many plots against him for standing his ground and not allowing the minister gain entry into the land.

I knew something like this would eventually happen to the boy. You must understand that people in authority never want to hear bitter truths or be challenged. From my experience, whenever you correct leaders or question their wrong actions, they see it as a threat. But the truth will always prevail; no matter how we try to bury it, it must still come to light.

I know Yerima’s life is at risk for challenging the FCT Minister because they may come for him spiritually. However, I truly admire Lt. Yerima’s courage and confidence. His actions send a strong message that the lives of ordinary citizens also matter. Oppression is too much in Nigeria. If not for military power, if that scenario had happened between civil servants or ordinary individuals, the land would have been taken and the owner locked up. That is how easily your land can be seized, even if all your papers are correct.

Building a house or buying land in Abuja is like gambling your money or taking a serious risk. According to the constitution, even with your C of O, if the government wants to use your land for public purposes, it can be taken from you. You may be compensated; or you may not. And if you sue the government, you cannot win.

It is because of military power and the fact that the guy’s late father was also a strong military man that things played out this way. Soldiers are loyal to one another. I still insist that if this incident had happened between ordinary citizens, both the land and possibly even the person’s life would have been taken for challenging the FCT Minister.

My dear nothing concerning our government suprises me anymore, if a Brigadier General could be killed by unmasked terrorists and the Nigerian Army couldn't do anything to rescue him even when he called for help them no officer in the military is safe. I don't know if it's allowed but if I were Yerima I'll leave Abuja or leave the country cause his life is at risk, I expect him to act smart while it's still too early cause it would be so sad to lose another high profile military personnel.

The actual minister he challenged is someone with a high profile in this present administration, he has the backing of the President hence why he was made the minister of the FCT and has the control of the security in the capital state, he's known for being very arrogant and deals with threats that comes his way, I might not be wrong if I say he has a hand in the assassination attempt of Yerima but since I don't have any proof to back that up maybe I'm wrong but those who's experienced the terror of Wike in the state he governed before now can tell he's not someone to joke with and he's capable of doing such using his thugs or corrupt security personnel's.

God knows whether he was the one or not. Although, when you are in a position of power, you will always have boys or loyalists. It might not have been Wike who attempted or planned the assassination; it may have been his boys or loyalists who sent the assassin. I believe Yerima will be heavily protected because soldiers are trained to support and loyal to one another

I like what happened between Lt. Yerima and the FCT Minister. It sends a strong message that an ordinary person can challenge the government when they are wrong, and that Nigerians will no longer continue to accept oppression from politicians.
I give kudos to social media; if not for it, many politicians would walk away with their wicked acts. Social media is being use to exposes them.

Imagine: during election periods, they go to villages to campaign, eat with hawkers, take pictures with beggars on the streets, and pretend to be humble. But after the election, they become unreachable. Senators collect constituency allowances yet still refuse to deliver, and nothing is done about it.

Also imagine, because of their greed for power, someone in the government or the opposition can sponsor bandit activities just to disrupt the present administration and use it as a yardstick during elections. This shows how desperate some people are. They don't care if citizens are dying, as long as it’s not their own family members. Most politicians’ children are abroad, so they feel no remorse.

As time goes on, Nigerians will not fold their hands and let things slide anymore.

All these things are caused by the level of lawlessness in this country and how our supposed leaders who are supposed to be protecting us through upholding of our laws and human rights be the ones to first flout and violate them. It is so surprising to find out that there are alleged efforts from the side of the minister to assassinate this young officer for trying to obey his superiors in comformity of how the military orders are designed for him to obey the last order and what we got from the side of the minister is intimidation and further alleged news like this because you cannot tell me he does not know about this.

I am a bit worried for the innocent officer whom on one occasion was challenged by the ignorant police to identify himself then coverage and posted online but thank God at least the young man is not a son of nobody as his dad used to be a spokesperson in the military before he retired, so if not for anything, the dad has the right connect to further protect his son the more but if all we're saying is the truth in terms of the oppression the young officer is facing, then we have got a long way to go in this country.

I usually like stating in my recent reply on a post about this same issue this Nigeria have turn to the more you look the less you see, corruption has made it part into everyone both the government and it citizens, that’s brigade general to my greatest surprise he was killed for unknown reason to tell you the level and height off Nigerian corruption infact I have given up my faith that Nigeria is never going to die and it still keeps increasing day by day.

Our Nigerian politicians can go extra mile to achieve what what ever they want. And moreover, why would he be facing attack after his encounter with the FCT minister Br. Ezewo Onyesom Wike or could it be that the naval officer Rt Yerima is having an issue with some other people that would warrant his attack? I think this matter should be investigated very; and if at the end of the investigation and the FCT minister is involved, the right thing to do is to call him to order and ensure that matter is addressed property by the appropriate authority and ensure nothing happens to Yerima.

This is very uncalled for, does it mean one cannot say the truth and go Scot-free? May God deliver us from these politicians.
