Hosting error

Whenever I try to use the search function, Im getting hosting error

What are you searching? I just tried a simple query and it worked.

I'm getting the same too, but not all the time, which is weird.
Maybe still some issues with the cloudflare madness from the past days... even tho it checks the cloudflare as OK.

From what I'm seeing here, I don't think the error is from your end. A 524 timeout means Cloudflare reached Bitcointalk but the forum server didn’t respond in time. The search feature is heavy on the server so it’s usually the first thing to break when the forum is under load.

Nothing for you to fix here, maybe you should try again later or use

This only happened more frequent yesterday, but ever since, everything is now working perfectly, maybe why you keep receiving the same error response was if your search was loading on the previous page that loaded this error response from your search history, i will advise that you clear the history of your Browser or possibly use another browser and you will be fine, the forum or cloud flare is currently in good condition.

I tried to produce this error but couldn't. Google based search and forum search both are working seamlessly. A also tried search for member option, as well as two words. Still no error.

And while searching I noticed forum search didn't restrict me with any time delay. I repeatedly searched for around 9-10 times, and never faced any error such as "wait X seconds to search again". Afaik, there was a fixed time delay limit, wasn't there? Or is it because of my rank that I could search more?

Maybe it has something to do with cloudflare again, but only theymos can say this.
I don't remember last time I used forum search, and I am exclusively using Ninjastic.space when I want to find anything in Bitcointalk forum.
With that tool I am getting much better and quicker results.

You might have tried to search during the recent Cloudflare outage, as it was down. But then again, Bitcointalk's search rarely brings back the expected results

and recently have tried using https://talksearch.io/ by NotATether and it's worth checking out too.

wow this looks even more interesting and useful and love the design and speed too. I'll definitely be trying it from now on.
