The top cryptocurrency’s price plunged to around $82,000 on Friday, extending a month-long sell off that has erased more than $1.4 trillion from cryptocurrency markets.

But for Bitwise’s European head of research, André Dragosch, the crash presents investors with a potentially lucrative opportunity.

“Bitcoin could still trade lower in the short term until a clear bullish catalyst emerges,” Dragosch told DL News. “But these would be ‘firesale valuations’ and very attractive entry points to build exposure to Bitcoin.”

How low can it go? Well, Dragosch is eyeing up support between $81,000 and $73,000 — the cost basis for BlackRock’s IBIT and Strategy’s holdings, along with Bitcoin’s former all-time high. Below that, he argues, Bitcoin becomes a screaming buy.

I agree on this, because those that buy will soon be grateful for taking such decision after which the market begins to rise, I've been seeing the indication that the market is trying to make a supporting level as it advances above $85,000 and once this is being maintained till the new week, we should expect a blast from the market sending it to rise the more to $90,000 and a something close to $100,00 and I got this convection from the recent fall taking us back to $80,000 and if it will rise, expect something more than $90,000 as well.

Of course it's a discount price as the last all time high is around $126k. The question is are we in the bear market or not? Because if we are then, then the price will very much continue to decline and who knows what will be the bottom or the lowest low. But if we are not then, and we think that we can still go up in the future or at least first quarter of the year then take advantage of the price right now and then when we hit the peak of the bull run then sell and squeeze some profits. And if you're really into the picture and wanted to hold at least in the next 4 years then why not? So let's see how the market will react, if the decline will continue or we will have a recovery at least to $90k then $100k next year.

Bitcoin is know to be unpredictable but right now its unpredictability is actually higher as the market fluctuates more and to me it’s the best to just treat this current market condition as a bearish trend and also make necessary preparations to actually buy more if there ever was a plan of doing that and if you are in the mix of maybe the price might actually changes then this is the most perfect time to simply DCA your way in.

Now I see you predicting the market to possibly rise by next year, no problem about this but to be honest it’s never a good idea to have short term plans for me if you’re investing into bitcoin the target should be really for a longer time most probably for a full bitcoin cycle (4 years) and more, this saves one from all this short term volatility

honestly watching everyone panic over 82k is kinda funny considering where we came from mere years ago getting a discount from 126k should be seen as a blessing not a curse but thats human nature for you fear always kicks in at the best buying opportunities i dont know if this dragosch guy is right about the exact bottom being 73k but playing the waiting game is dangerous you might wake up and see green candles and regret not grabbing some sats now just dca and chill is the only way to survive this volatility without losing your hair.

The DIP is always the best time to buy bitcoin and so yes, this is actually the best time to buy bitcoin. as the market is down, any bitcoin you are able to accumulate at this point in time will give you good profit when the market goes high again and you decides to sell at that point. i have seen a lot of investors that are lamenting of not selling when bitcoin was above $120k and yet, same investors have not considered that failing to accumulate enough bitcoin at this point that the market is down will eventually lead to further complains when we go back to the season of bull.

Getting everyone to agree (or disagree) on anything is pretty much impossible. 

Bitcoin price is down right now, sure, but that doesnt automatically make it a sure thing.  Dragosch has got a point, though - big money buying in usually means its a good time to get in for the long haul.  But being skeptical is smart too.  Personally, when it comes to financial decisions, I block out social media entirely.  They are usually just pushing their own agenda anyway.

I think the safest choice this time is for selling, not buying.

Even though people missed to sell at $125K or $120K above, but if they sold their coins now, they're still in profit assuming they hold when the price was quite cheap. If Bitcoin crash, the price would be low enough and they can accumulate Bitcoin again. The price of Bitcoin is very cheap and it is a good price to buy more Bitcoin.  This is an opportunity that hodlers won't miss out. It makes no sense not buying Bitcoin by think the price of Bitcoin will still fall. It makes sense to buy now that is low and even if the price of Bitcoin falls again you dont need to feel bad because it is an opportunity to buy more Bitcoin in the future.  Real hodlers, even as the price of Bitcoin is falling, hodlers are not panic about it is because it is an opportunity for accumulating more bitcoin.

Most Bitcoin haters will definitely try to create fuds around the present Bitcoin discounted price and only the gullible and weak hands will get worked up by that, the vas majority of investors with knowledge are busy buying back right now, because discounted price offers more chances and opportunity to profits More when the price slide back up trend again.

If we actually subscribe to the idea of buying the low, then I think it’s appropriate to buy Bitcoin at this current market price. Should anyone be waiting for Bitcoin to further dip, that could easily translate into a lost opportunity because, Bitcoin haven’t gone way past $125k for an ATH have been able to dump to a price about $88k and $90k. These are price limits that wasn’t previously speculated and so, not buying at these prices could prove to be a mistake.

Its good to buy if you like to buy regularly not just once.  It seems possible there is a gap in volume from this pricing down to the 2024 highs, if that should prove true and price does slip it will require repeated buying.
  Its good to buy but sure you arent searching for instant rewards and returns the next day week or even month.  Otherwise I think that is correct advice.
