Having a mentor in Bitcoin in your Bitcoin accumulation journey is one thing that should not be overlooked by new comer or Bitcoiners, especially when you’re still growing as a new Bitcoiner has the ability to cause a big difference. The Bitcoin ecosystem is deep, technical, and full of noise, This is one reason why newbies should as a matter of fact have a mentor who will show and guide them about what Bitcoin is . This is very important because one thing that newbies lack is a clear and deep understanding of what Bitcoin really entails so the right guidance helps to avoid mistakes and grow faster. Even though I am just coming into the forum especially on this Nigerian board, I want to suggest to the moderators to dedicate a particular thread solely for the purpose of mentorship of newcomers in Bitcoin. This will really help newcomers to stand and grow with a much better understanding of what Bitcoin is this will on the long run bridge the gap that exists.

Because one thing I have noticed ever since coming into  this forum is that there is a disconnect between the newbies and the senior members who, has understand Bitcoin in details compared to those who are just coming to the space.and we all can see that in the comments that are been made on various threads .The role of a mentor can't be overemphasized because a mentor is that person that will guide a newbie concerning critical decisions like making investments , when to invest, when to hold and make the newbie to understand about the the two very important seasons which marks the Bitcoin BlockChain which is the Bull run and the Bear/ Dip. Understanding these two very important seasons is very helpful as it  inform the newbie of what is about to happen next in the Bitcoin BlockChain. This will overtime influence the type of decision that the newbie will take.

Here are the key reasons why a mentor is important

They help you avoid costly mistakes

New Bitcoin users often fall into scams, fake investment platforms, wrong wallet setups, losing private keys so a mentor is needed in correcting some of these mistakes because a mentor shows you the safe path from the start.

They speed up your learning

Instead of trying to understand everything alone on your own a mentor helps explains concepts in simple and understandable terms and guides you on what to focus on. A mentor is also instrumental in recommending the right books, videos, and communities go engage with as a newbie,This helps cuts your learning time in half.

They help you build the right mindset

Bitcoin is not just money it's a culture so a mentor will instill in the newbie characters like self sovereignty,patience,long-term thinking, security.

They provide support in a complex system

Bitcoin has many tools such as wallets, nodes, mining,Lightning network, exchanges. Learning these alone can be confusing so the reason for the mentor.

I won't advise anyone to be a mentor in bitcoin accumulation. Everyone should figure out how they want to succeed personally because they are the one who knows how to control their finances. Most people talk about setting aside emergency funds, etc, before starting their investment, but let us be realistic. In this part of the world (Nigeria), everything doesn't really go as planned. The country is tough to keep up such practices unless you are making a very good sum of money. Plebs will find it difficult to keep to the practice. Many unforeseen events may arise and cause them to tamper with their investment.

Having a mentor can actually be the difference for beginners. Most people underestimate the need and use for mentors but their experience and knowledge can guide them through the journey but I don't think there is any need to dedicate a thread for mentorship. If you are a beginner having difficulty with anything here you can ask questions and seek help here in the local board and even the main board. The forum is already a mentor to everyone and will serve as a guide to every beginner as it has to everyone before now. So I don't see the need for what you asked.

Newbies are not disconnected, they feel that way because they don't learn that's why they find it difficult to communicate and  engage properly. If a newbie says something reasonable he will be applauded as well. Every high rank account you see here were all newbies at some point so my advice is that you take away this mindset of yours and focus on learning what you want here and if you need assistance everyone is here for you.

In the process of learning about bitcoin, you will generally need the help of a mentor, materials and even channels that feeds you with information that gives a good head start in your investment. these are basic necessity that are necessary at the entry level of your investment but when you go further down into your investment journey, you will have to learn how to walk alone for the sake of your safety and to ensure that you are fully responsible for what becomes of your investment.

A mentorship is considered necessary when you're trying to learn how bitcoin investment works, but after you must have succeeded in getting that which you desired to get i believe at this stage you can do everything by yourself you don't necessarily need mentor that would help you buy bitcoin because you might probably get scammed. The role of a mentorship should be to give you all the necessary informations about bitcoin investment and also how you can make your bitcoin purchase I believe if you learn from good professional you won't find it hard to do anything by yourself.

Normally in every thing in life you need the help of a mentor to scale through especially when it concerns bitcoin investment, it is very difficult to do it perfectly on your own without a mentor (someone that will guide and assist you all the way) that's the more reason every newbie needs the assistant of a senior hands to help them out.

Secondly, another important stuff is for you to have an experience and a competent person as a mentor, because a blind man can't lead another blind person the both will lost their way out. It good to have someone that has the patient and that is also passionate in mentoring you, if your mentor isn't patient enough to accommodate some of your repeated and cross questions he will get tired of you, and you both will start having issues. Lastly, let their be a free communication between you and your mentor because it can enhance and fasting your learning process.

Op wrote it is very well, of course new investors need good guidance to know or understand about Bitcoin. Investors can expect success if they know about Bitcoin well in the beginning, patiently follow the right rules and hold it for the long term. I think Bitcoin is not difficult or complicated, a person does not need much knowledge or cash to start investing, it is very important to have just basic knowledge and prudent money. An investor can gradually acquire specific knowledge about Bitcoin by purchasing it, increase their confidence, and become more aware of cash. Bitcoin long-term investment system We have to buy Bitcoin in small amounts continuously with confidence and by holding it patiently, big profits can be expected in the future.

Yes the essence of this thread was for new beginners to be mentored by those with competent and proven record when it comes to Bitcoin and it's investment. And on this forum there are allot of people who are experienced enough to coach and guide newcomers through with the concept of Bitcoin and how they can benefits. So I don't think that it's about the blind leading another blind man.

When I was a newcomer many years ago I did not have any mentorship in my Bitcoin accumulation and I am fine. I had lots of mentorship in understanding what Bitcoin is about and to ensure I try to understand into Bitcoin values because that will give you a brighter understanding why you must accumulate and hold your Bitcoin.
I don't understand why a newbie should not chase knowledge but rather chase a mentor in his accumulation journey, you don't need a mentor to eat your food I don't see any importance having a Bitcoin accumulation mentor.

If you are in a place like Bitcointalk, why will you need a mentor. Having a mentor is not compulsory but if you get the privilege of having someone who has gone through the journey which you are trying to embark then make sure to follow under his mentorship. Many investors  survived without the need of a mentor, get acquainted with reading Bitcoin articles, make online researches and learn from experience.

Problem about begineers is that they don't read and learn, the ignorance of a newbie is what leads to many bad experience in the process of accumulation. The forum is a safe space for discussion, there is no excuse to have a bad investment while active in the forum.

You do need mentor in everything you do, even you in your journey had mentor but you didn't know, you thought you were doing it alone but you were actually directed by different kinds of engagement, topics you joined, telegram groups, bounty groups and all of that.

In rare sense, they were actually mentors, but since you didn't pay for someone or had a direct boss or something similar, you thought didn't have mentors, but that's not true.

Your really right OP, can someone just imagine a journey without a clue of how u gonna embark on it. In the journey of Bitcoin accumulation a mentor is needed, one can be mentored in any form and means, it is not all about having someone closer to you, permit me to say this, someone may likely have a mentor here without the mentor knowing he is mentoring someone. That's why it's good for the members and the legends here to inculcate good morals and values, as a brand new member am anticipating to find myself someone I will look unto.

They help you avoid costly mistakes

New Bitcoin users often fall into scams, fake investment platforms, wrong wallet setups, losing private keys so a mentor is needed in correcting some of these mistakes because a mentor shows you the safe path from the start.

Avoiding costly mistakes is one thing mentorship offers you silently and only  a few gets to realise this. These mistakes were once done by your mentors and they know how hard it hits and that is why they can tell you for a fact that these are things to avoid on this path, and following up with it, saves you a whole lot of stress and mistakes you even gwt to the top more easily than you would have if you were to do it all by yourself, and very interesting is that you may bot get to notice this because learning was made easy for you so you skip  those steps and probably do not get to understand how painful it can be to go through some of those mistakes.

This is why when you meet some mentees, they seem not to be able to relate with certain things you bring up to them because their mentors probably helped them skipped that aspect of the  learning. Mentorship is always important if you want to learn fast but if you want to learn with details and experience, it may not really be necessary.

Many unforeseen events may arise and cause them to tamper with their investment.
I don’t think you understood the OP and the concept of mentorship as regards bitcoin. You want to figure it out on your own you’re surely gonna make lots of mistakes unless you have money to throw around because those mistakes are going to cost you. Now mentorship plus your own research keeps you safe.
From the rest of your statements you don’t also understand bitcoin accumulation procedures. People don’t have to set aside emergency funds before starting bitcoin accumulation, you can either set it as you start or after you’ve started.

We can buy bitcoin without having a mentor if we have good knowledge about bitcoin investment know the strategy to follow and you also have your discretionary income you can start buying bitcoin, your emergency fund can be set from your discretionary income, it's also important to have a source of income because as a Nigeria you can't be struggling and be buying bitcoin.

A mentorship is considered necessary when you're trying to learn how bitcoin investment works, but after you must have succeeded in getting that which you desired to get i believe at this stage you can do everything by yourself you don't necessarily need mentor that would help you buy bitcoin because you might probably get scammed. The role of a mentorship should be to give you all the necessary informations about bitcoin investment and also how you can make your bitcoin purchase I believe if you learn from good professional you won't find it hard to do anything by yourself.

when the thing come to bitcoin accumilation you gats use your head because people they feel say they sabi everything for this kind bussiness i feel say you still need person so if you they make any move about bicoin you fit consult your book or youtube or even make you, find person wey go put you through the process becuse that one go they very easy to do,  because mentorship they very important.  the thing be say mentorship no be  really important so na the people wey wan learn go decide they way they wan learn.

And when the matter come to accumilation i no really see need for mentor sha because, since na to just buy and when you wan trade na the only time wey, mentorship go even they more needed, to buy bitcoin na one of the most easiest thing to do, so no be matter wey anybody go wan wan stress him self.  and if anyone wan buy na make they just do DCA and you no get much wahala, you go know the amount wey you they invest every time, everything na based on how you plan am, planning na the koko.

Exactly mentorship Dey really plays a huge role, especially in something like Bitcoin accumulation where emotions and mistakes can easily make you tired. Having someone who has already gone through the ups and downs helps you avoid a lot of unnecessary stress. But for me, I think the real value of a mentor is not just the knowledge they share, it is the mindset they help you build.
Someone who is patient and willing to explain things over and over makes the whole journey smoother. And like you said, communication is everything. If you can talk freely with your mentor, ask silly questions without feeling judged, and get honest guidance, you grow faster.

I know what it means to learn from wrong mentor, I've been there before and it's very derailing, you can't look handsome or beautiful when learning from the wrong mentor, you'll immediately get mental disorderliness and look ugly working with the wrong mentor, it really sucks, it is self sabotage and deadly.

Conversation seems to be forced and engagement has to be paid for in kind, looks like you submit yourself to be used before releasing information by your mentor.

My advise before choosing a mentor, watch closely if your mentor is mentally okay, completely healed from all kinds of trauma and ready to uplift you into the version you pay for.

You can only access the mental or physical state of a mentor if you know them in person, but with you suggesting for it to be possible for mentorship on this forum may make you understand that you won't have the chance to see the mentor physically but online, unless you set up a meeting point of which you know every person here hails from longer distances than you could only imagine you could transport yourself to.

Mentors could also be the risk to avoid in the sense that you can't really tell the motive of one who is close by, and watching your every investment moves. So it's more adviced to do your own research and learn better from online videos, learn better from the beginner and help section here where so many topics has been covered and you can ask a great question to anyone here who you think is well versed and they may be glad to oblige swiftly.

Having a mentor for bitcoin accumulation can be very helpful and incredibly beneficial, but we must be cautious and careful about whom we choose as a mentor, because some people may be fake mentors. Finding a mentor or someone who knows the in and out of bitcoin can give you priceless guidance, whether it's guiding you on how to avoid common scams, or just keeping you in a disciplinary form during market swings.

Some people may be fake mentor, promising quick riches while lacking credibility, just for the sake of their ulterior motives, making the newbies believe in unrealistic expectations. That's why it's very important or essential to vet anyone you consider mentoring you, make sure you check their records, ask for a quality proof of their past successes, and see whether they also practice what they preach or not. A good and genuine mentor will be very careful about risks, and they will also encourage you to do your own research, and they will also respect your boundaries.
