Monster Duels
The decentralized fakemon betting game
https://monsterduels.com

Monster Duels is a game for betting on PhoenixDex fakemon.

Battles are held every hour between 8 fakemon randomly drafted from the set of 282 total fakemon.  Fakemon take turns randomly selecting and attacking one of the remaining contenders and the battle continues until only one remains.  Each attack does a random amount of damage between 0 and 46 points to the defending fakemon.  When a fakemon's health points reach zero, they are eliminated from the battle.  The only variables relevant to a fakemon's likelihood to win a battle is their health points, and to a small extent their starting position.

This game uses a currency called dueldimes.  Dueldimes are pegged to the dollar, at an initial rate of 10 cents per dueldime, but should gain value slowly as the supply of dueldimes reduces.  Upon completion of a battle, 99% of the total bets are paid out to the winning bettors, and 1% is burned, reducing the supply.  The initial supply of dueldimes is created in a genesis transaction, and no other dueldimes can enter circulation.  There are no mining rewards, and dueldimes can only be burned.  The dollars backing this currency remain constant, so all the profit from coins burned on betting are distributed to dueldime holders in proportion to their position, as the dollar to dueldime exchange rate goes up.

Monster Duels is the latest evolution of the PolyCash project, and runs on a blockchain called Datachain, a fork of Litecoin.

You can buy dueldimes by depositing Bitcoin or Litecoin to any node that has dueldimes for sale, such as MonsterDuels.com. And you can just as easily cash out any time by those same channels.

Monster Duels can be used for automated betting.  For example you could select a strategy to bet for the underdogs every time, or the favorites. Monster Duels supplies a few strategies that you can select from or you can code your own betting strategy.  Using an automated betting strategy to bet a small amount on each battle is a great way to validate your betting thesis and winning dueldimes in the long term.

To play this game on your own computer, it's recommend to install using Docker Desktop as described in the PolyCash readme.  Running the game on your own computer has the benefit that you custody your own private keys.

Questions about the project are welcome in this thread.
