The safest place to write down a seed phrase is something that is  waterproof and that can resist fire. One example of waterproof and what can resist fire is metal steel. But seriously, my seed phrases are still written in a book. I make sure that it is not just one book I wrote them down in three different books and keep them in three separate locations, in case anything happens. That way it isunlikely that all of them would be affected at the same time at most maybe one.

Honestly, I am also planning to engrave my seed phrase on steel very soon. But if someone doesn’t have steel, it is not that bad to write it down in a book.but saving a seed phrase on phone is very dangerous because  can be stolen or lost, especially since people carry their phones everywhere and once it lost or stolen that it end if your access to your wallet.
Sure, write the seed phrase at waterproof paper as how to protect from an accident like flood so our seed phrase written at waterproof not gone yet, if write at book or paper easily gone if have an accident like flood. I don't think technology advances nowadays has any body save or write seed phrase at paper due many online media already for saving and most security like save at google drive, notepad of your computer or saving in notepad of mobile phone.
However if want save seed phrase at paper write it at waterproof avoid if flood happening your seed phrase still secure, I think save at mobile or computer have possibility stolen and write manually at paper not any one know yet about where that paper save.

Saving your seed phrase in your phone or using your phone or computer to save it online is a big NO, your phone can be stolen and your online device can be hacked online. I don't know the safest place that you can keep your seed phrase, that decision should be entirely up to you because it should be your secret but I know the best method to save your seed phrase and that is to have atleast two copies or more. You should hide them in different secured locations Incase one is misplaced you still have the others intact. You can write them down in pieces of paper or engrave them on a metal plate, the important thing is that they should be in secured locations where you have access to.

Now I'm on the verge of opening a new wallet account and my mind is telling me to store it on my phone instead .
But one question still hits me .."What if someone steals your phone?". "And the person that stole your phone already knows your phone password?" Will he not automatically have access to your seed phrase?
All of these questions leaves me in Hobson's choice ...any idea?

Leaving your seed phrase in your phone as firm if screenshots or in any form is very risky, you can lose it at any moment because you are always using your phone online, and once your device have access to internet saving your seed phrase or any important information is very risky that is why it is always preferred to be save offline.

Using paper to save your seed phrase is one of the safest method of saving seed phrase if you know how to keep track of your papers. Write them in your personal diary and keep it safe, you can duplicate it and save them in different places where only you can have access to them.

I personally put everything on a notebook thing same on my seed phrase written down, plus have a separate thing on a flash drive just in case to have a backup.

The safest probably that most of the members here is going to recommend is the metal plate engraving thing, where you engrave your seed phrase on a metal piece, because it is safe in case your house get burned accidentally, you get that peace of mind that your seed phrase is still intact. I've read some here where they just memories their seed phrase seems to be a good approach as well, but probably not in a long-term situation where you might forget about it since you're not really always using it directly. For sure, the best way is just to have multiple of this things so that you could make sure that you have some kind of backup in case some of it are lost or destroyed.

If someone just stole your phone, they wouldn't have access to the seed phrase for sure, a lot of wallet is going to have a password just to open the wallet, so they wouldn't have access on the wallet unless they know the password. Also, if you want to view the seed phrase in the wallet, it would also ask you for a password, so no they wouldn't have direct access on it, you could still open your wallet on other devices or just to make sure send the money to other wallets.
Way you have handled your crypto protection is very smart and addresses key areas of security. Backup, physical security, and digital safety. Best way to make sure that you do not lose access to your seed phrase is to have it in different locations such as notebook, flash drive, and most crucially on metal plate to stop fire and water damage. It is important to note that, in case of phone theft, thief will not be able to access your money as modern wallets need password to unlock it and another password to see seed phrase, which will give you with time to move your money to new, secure wallet as soon as possible.

I mean mostly have its advantages right, even on flashdrives, notebooks and metal plate it is still can be stolen from you, so even though it is a physical thing which is for sure a safer thing when it comes to online hackers or online things on the internet, you are for sure certain that you wallet is not going to be hack since you dont have it on your computer at some point, even though you just save it on your computer you are not a thousand percent sure that it is safe since there are a lot of cases where there personal computer is getting compramised by the hackers, with just one trick if you somehow install the wrong application or a malware your for sure gonna end up losing everything. So having that tangible backup is for sure going to be a good backup, but a thief for sure is going to be a problem.

Maybe somehow you could as well protect yourself from thieves since if it is on your flash drive, you could get it encrypted so that no one could open it and only you have the password, same when it is on your phone even though it has a risk of being cracked. I guess nothing is going to be 100% safe.

It's depend on your mind because you can write the seeds in a diary and keep that diary in a safe and secure place, wherever you feel is the safest. But never keep the seeds on Google or mobile. Many people write the seeds on their computer, phone or online, while many others keep screenshots, Google Drive, Notepad, email, WhatsApp/Telegram, but this way there is a possibility of the seeds being stolen.

If you store your seed phrase on your phone or anywhere online, then someone does not need to steal your phone, in order to be able to steal your assets. You could be a victim of hack and lose your assets, just like that. Your assets must be stored offline.

That said, if you are careless, then maybe bitcoin is not for you. Remember you are your own bank, and if you cannot do that, then maybe you should not use bitcoin. It is either your write your seed words on paper and keep it very safe. Or you engrave/stamp the words on stainless steel. Whichever you choose, you have to be responsible for your assets in order not to lose it.

The best thing would be to try to memorize your seed phrase so you always have it in your head. I know it’s hard to learn 12 or 24 words, but it’s doable. If you still can’t manage that, the best option is to have it written down somewhere on paper and keep it with you as a very important document, because storing it online or on your phone is definitely not a good option.
I don't want to call it the best way because human nature never escapes forgetfulness and the level of human memory strength will weaken with age. After all, we don't know what will happen tomorrow, next week, or maybe next year. Writing it down on paper is better than remembering it because if something happens to us, the assets stored in the wallet can still be accessed by heirs such as wife and children or other close family members.

Sometimes , the reason why we frequently need to create new wallet accounts may be because we keep losing track of where we've previously copied our 12 or 24 word seed phrase.

One of the reasons I lost my first wallet account seed phrase was simply because I had copied it in my jotter. It happened that somehow, somehow I lost the jotter. Since I could not retrieve the jotter , I ended up not being able to retrieve my seed phrase. And that was how I lost it.

Maybe you are talking about yourself? I have never lose track of where I write my recovery seed, this is impossible, but I agree that anyone that's reckless can lose their money this way, it is complete irresponsible behaviour to forget where you write down your seed when you know that this is the only way you can get your digital assets back.

I have wrote down recovery seeds in a jotter in the past, I have never lost sight of the jotter for once, are you not living alone? Even if you are not living alone are there no boundaries among you and your family? Also you don't have to drop the jotter on a table or a public place in the house where you don't live alone.

Storing your recovery seed on your phone is even worse, don't try it, find a steel and cut it to the size of a ATM card and use nail to write the seed words on the steel then find a safe space to keep the steel inside, you are not to small to have a personal space that belongs to only you.

You stated that the reason why you lost your previous wallet it’s because you write down your seed phrase in a sheet of paper and later you misplaced it the paper, and currently now you’ve opened a new wallet and since you don’t want what happened to you before should repeat again that’s why you’re suggesting to stored the seed phrase on your mobile phone.

But do you know that having screenshots or saving the seed phrase on your mobile phones is more dangerous? Because you don’t who is going to get your since even a friends now not all are trusted anymore, but if you write it down somewhere among your documents i think it’s more safe than in any other places.
