Turning off sounds while playing slot games

Recently, I'm trying to experience something, it might not be new, but I decided to turn off the sounds or audio of the slot games that I played. Because we all know that sounds are own cue to create excitement as every spin can give us that emotional influences, like near-miss beeps or those big multiplier jingles.

Anyone has tried this method though? Or this is not at trick that is going to work in the long run as visuals is still the main attraction?

I have never, never!!!!! played slots with sound on!
They are so annoying I would not be able to hear those sounds for more than 5 minutes without breaking my laptop or throwing away my tablet!
Fortunately enough, I only spend (lose) bonus money on slots so I don't have to endure that thing that much!

Some marketing people really think that some strategies work because they are flashy only to discover that you don't have to make your customers experience seizures through photosensitive epilepsy to buy your stuff.

I do this sometimes when I try to sneak in some slot play while my wife is already sleeping beside me. I have no choice but to turn off the sound so she won’t notice. It is a combination of both.  Disabling the audio stimulus will definitely help with breaking the addiction.  Do you bet from your Smart phone or from your computer?  Find a way to make the display Black and White.  Removing colors from the screen will help with the visual stimulus.

In the long run however, it all depends on you and if you want to do any thing about it.  While this will help, it will not do magic for you.

Yes. Actually I realized it lately, I am not really a slots player but if I ever have some extra money, I always go for slots. Anyway, when I first tried it, I won a free spins that leads me to win $50 with my $0.2 and after some few more rounds I realized that the near-win free spins are not true and I really keep continuing thinking that I am close to winning again, and I ended up losing that $50 the same day, now whenever I have some spare coins, I just turn off the sound and auto play it.

The sound have this way of regulating the mood of the player just like you rightly observed, for me its part of what makes slot game sweet. The developers of those games understood the importance of sound which was why they integrated them into the games, turning off the sounds when playing is not my thing, it makes the game boring. I prefer playing with the sound on, let the near misses come, they have little effect on me because I try my best to gamble responsibly. When you gamble within your limit, you will not feel much pain no matter what the outcome of your gambling is unlike when you gamble irresponsibly.

I don't like playing in silence, but I do enjoy playing to my own music, which I turn up a bit louder than all the other game sounds. I'm not sure how much this will affect me, because the visuals are also very important if we win, we see it even without sound. So you avoid this just to help yourself stop gambling? Why not just directly delete your account in the casino so you won’t be able to play anymore. I only play the slots when I try for the first ever time and after that my first thing to do when I enter the game is mute the audio and do my thing. Interesting, maybe you need to conduct several periods of research. How are the profits and losses with the model you are using? Does it mean profits increase and losses decrease, or the opposite? I want to know how it compares to before you muted the sound. How were the results? But I believe that sound is an attraction; muting it slightly reduces the appeal. I think this is related to psychology, so it all depends on what you want to do. Some of my friends said that no matter what efforts they made, they always ended up with more losses, unless they created a new account. They always did that trying to make a profit.

I’m always playing slot games without sound since it drains my battery fast while I do other things when I’m on auto spin mode.

I do that when I'm in public places since I don't want people to hear also know what I'm currently doing and didn't want to hear some unnecessary opinion since we know gamblers sometimes been misinterpreted by lots of people.

But if I'm home I really open up the sound since I find the game more entertaining to play. But it depends on what you like or think effective to you since if that turning off the sound can help you to avoid being so emotional and can avoid taking everything excessively then its fine. But you cannot say that this is effective to all since there are gamblers which already have good experience became more practical and been in control even if they are been entertained or enjoying those games they played.
