This happens a lot in my country where people get offended easily. There are many social media trolls that constantly speak bullcrap just to get on people’s nerves and then their lawyers sue those angry birds that went full keyboard warriors. I thought it was happening only here, didn’t know this was a thing in other places.

I know people can curse freely in the US no matter who their target is. They can even say some nasty things to their president without facing any consequences but it completely different in my country. Say one bad thing to a wrong person, tomorrow you’ll find yourself looking at the court documents.

I call it stupidity tax. Suits better. Don’t get angry, don’t pay a tax.

This is what I experience daily because I have to browse free websites every day when searching for something.

Today, specifically, I was working on an AI tool, and since the free plan was limited, I started searching for other free tools. I became very tired and actually angry from all the searching and failed attempts. I finally decided that I had to subscribe to a paid plan because to get professional AI work, you have to pay, otherwise don't bother searching because all the free options are limited.

If you are rich, then you can pay for calm. You can pay for privacy. And you can hire people who can clean your information. You can live in quiet places and choose what comes to your mind. But if you are a normal person you are using free platforms. Free social media. Free news. Free entertainment. And "free" means that you are paying with something else. You are paying with your attention and your emotions. The business model is simple, make you angry, get you to stay on the page, show you ads, repeat. The more they annoy you, the more money they make.
