No where is it okay to be reckless with money, it's worse than addiction to be addicted with reckless spending. Instant all-in, players suffer this problem and it's among the saddest story to experience, read or listen to as a gambler. What more how miserable life would look for the victim, when readers and listeners feel the direct emotional meltdown that mingles with such stories.

Conspicuously no place is that okay for one to be that reckless with money, especially when it comes of gambling, it is the worst part anyone out there could be addicted with because it deals with a higher achievement and dream.
When a gambler gets addicted all their target could be to hit the possible multiplier while gambling but then, it won't results that way and this where that keeps them drowning because of having this mindset of breaking the even while gambling.

I think that 30% of the money allocated for gambling is an exaggeration. If you can limit it to this, then it is a lot of extra allocation, but what will happen to the families of gamblers who spend such a huge percentage on gambling? You must be responsible about earning and spending money.

I think the reason for a gambler's addiction should be his irresponsibility. If you allocate 5% of your income for gambling, naturally you cannot limit yourself to this. The amount of money lost will increase due to losses and you will be tempted to go beyond the limit.

Sorry but what you said makes absolutely no sense to me, people can have children and still be addicted to gambling but still be able to look after and take care of their children normally. The case of leaving a child or children at home under the care of no one and you spending the whole day in a casino gambling is a very rare occurrence, somebody did this once which we discussed here on this forum, and it's a woman who did it.

It is not a man's duty to look after children at home, so it's pretty hard to find such things as this happening, there are alot of other minor minor indications, patterns at which gamblers gamble that indicate they are addicted, such are the things we should be talking about, and not about something that rarely happens.

I agree with you. Personally, I think that addiction does not depend on how much one spends from one's income. Addiction actually depends on one's mentality. Because not every person's income is the same, and not everyone's expenses and responsibilities are the same. Therefore, addiction cannot be determined based on percentage alone. If a person can control himself at the right time, then even if he gambles with a large amount of money, he cannot be called addicted. But if someone gambles irresponsibly without paying attention to his income and even after suffering a lot of financial losses, he cannot remove himself from gambling, then we can call him addicted. The main thing here is to control yourself.

Yes, there some set of individuals that does that, using 70 to 80 percent of thier income to gamble without any fear,  you know when you are not into gambling or not betting at all, you will feel someone's pains of losses and the person that loses his money will only feel it at that moment, however for one to become addicted to gambling, it has to do with frequently betting and risk taking, there's someone I onow today that uses even a community contributions money that's not belong to him for betting, thinking that he will win big and at the end he couldn't recover the money he used betting.

Spending 70 to 80 percent of one's income on gambling is quite significant, perhaps even excessive, in my opinion, and can be considered a sign of addiction. Generally, wise gamblers probably won't spend that much money, it's more reasonable to spend no more than 10 percent.

I guess your friend are now going to addiction because imagine the 30 percent to 50 is too much high to used just for your satisfaction in playing gambling, did he catered other expenses or he has a own properties already because that amount was huge just to get fun, I considered gambler as an addicted to it once they cant remove to their system in a daily basis to play gambling like its part of their routine and they cant complete their day once they didnt play any kind of games in the casino.

For me its quite acceptable if your friend is much rich and he does not really care about the money getting into his pocket in a monthly basis but if you are just a regular people hoping to win games in the casino i guess its quite bad in the future not only to him but also people around him gambling addiction is much worry than the other addiction.

It's an high level of carelessness when you consider that you're using as much as 20 or even 30% of your income to gamble. If you're doing so, it doesn't matter if you're winning or not, it shows you have a bigger problem of addiction or one that's associated with an act of irresponsible spending. As long as you're gambling to an extent that it appears as though you can't do without gambling, then obvious, you're an addicted gambler. At some point, the amount you're using might not be too much but yet, you can still be an addict in the process.

Addiction does not happen suddenly, it takes a gradual process that builds up into something that you eventually loose control over. If you can't control your gambling excess at it early phase, when it becomes fully blown, it starts controlling you.

I don't know why addicted gamblers normally have this mentality, it seems to be a general issue with them because this has always been there usual pattern and even if you try telling them they would still not pay attention, until it gets worster. Gambling is just a way to have fun, not a place to spend excess money because there's no hope of getting profits at last that's why we don't need to spend much on gambling. It's unfortunate that most gamblers are still on this stage of using a huge percent of their monthly income to chase for more money.

You are right but not totally right, not everything you can not do without that you are addicted to. If coffee is good for your health and you take it everyday, that is not addiction. There are some people that take coffee not because they can not do without it but because they see his benefits. There are some medicinal teas and other things also that some people can not do without because of their health.

In my opinion, using more than 50% of your monthly salary isn’t necessarily a sign of addiction, it can also be a matter of poor money management or simply greed. In my case, I consider myself to have a gambling addiction because I constantly think about gambling whenever I have free time. However, I’m still able to control the urge when something more important comes up and I’m able to set the habit aside. Addiction isn’t always defined by how much money we spend, it can also be about how often we do the activity and whether it becomes a sustained pattern. As for your friend, if he’s spending more than half of his salary on gambling, he should definitely lower his risk and learn proper money-management skills.

Addiction is one thing, drug addiction is a very different thing, the gambler addicted to gambling often plays (every day too) the toxic gambler, plays the same way, with an aggravating circumstance plays a lot of money and even more than he can afford, highly risking his personal economy, constantly risking destruction.

When a player can not control himself when gambling, that is a sign that addiction is becoming serious gradually. Apart from being disciplined, okay should know when to gamble and when to stay away from betting. There should be self consciousness when gambling so you don't just gamble recklessly but having a target that will lead to profit.

You're right about this, but remember everything is supposed to be taking moderately?  So having known this I think excessive taking of everything could be considered as addiction or bad even though you have been noticing positive changes in your health when taking coffee or other stuffs, it is never right to take it more often for any reason but to maintain the rules. Personally I like taking coffee Because I noticed some changes whenever i take it, but to avoid being addicted to it I usually take it once a while and not often so that I won't get used to it.

You should let him choose his way to gambling. We have different ways to use our money in gambling. We can suggest the percentage but he can choose what he wants. After all, that is his money, not ours, if he uses more than what we suggest. We may find it difficult to accept his decision to gamble but if he says he can handle it, that is not our business. I don't think that the money spent on gambling is what should be use to judge if someone is an addict or not. I be a person should be considered an addict when it is obvious that the person can't go a day or two without gambling. A gambler can lose 100% of his salary in a day and wait another 30 days to be paid before he can gamble. Such gambler have self control because unless his salary comes he won't gamble. But someone who's addicted will look for any means possible to raise money to gamble.

You are right, the point you made is very clear, some persons can not wait until their pay day before they allocate some money for gambling again, they will rather take loans from people from people to gamble with it, and we already know that taking loan to gambling is actually a bad habit and a sign of gambling addicts. Someone that is not addicted can afford to stay without gambling if they don't have the money to do so but some can not.

Many people misjudge gamblers as addicts already.
Perhaps they really don't know what "gambling addict" means. "A person who can't stop gambling."

It is easy to determine a person by that simple meaning. And we don't need to argue IF that gambler is already an addict unless he shows something different from the usual behavior of a casual gambler.

That is why it is wrong to say that once you gamble every day, it is considered an addiction already. When we just spend a few minutes. It's a different story from those who spend their time gambling all day without a break.
