Going Into 2026, What Kind Of Tokens Will You Be Looking Out For?

Frankly, no one wants to hold altcoins right now. You can see the market. While Bitcoin and Ether are rising, they remain stable, but when they fall, they plummet rapidly. Although it may change from time to time, we can say that 2026 will be a year focused on AI and RWA. I still think it's too early to buy because they're still playing around like toys.

We all know alts aren’t what they used to be. In fact, Bitcoin dominated early on before retracing. I’d say the biggest winners were XRP (up around 300–500%), boosted by Ripple’s regulatory clarity, legal wins, and growing institutional and payment use cases.

What’s your strategy going into 2026?

Ripple has indeed performed quite well in this bullish market. Unfortunately, I personally sold too quickly and only made a small profit from Ripple. However, I personally made a significant profit from several AI coins and from several layer 1 coins such as BNB and Ton.

For 2026, I think the trend will not be much different. However, this year, RWA has not actually performed very well. And I think that in 2026, RWA deserves more attention from us. I will also monitor several RWA-type coins. Other types are AI and Big Data. I am also considering several meme coins that don't seem to be talked about much lately.

The narrative in the altcoin market keeps changing. We just need to be observant in reading the trends in news that influence the altcoin market. If large companies start tokenizing their real-world assets, it means that RWA-type coins do have potential. But I think AI is a type of narrative that will never fade.

I'm more of a follow the trend. I kind of don't have a plan for 2026 as of now. Heard rumors here and there that next year will be bearish, although rn we're kinda in a bearish season already. But still. I'm hoping for major alts to perform well next year. As well as RWA projects. Probably gonna have to invest a bit for alts and save stable. And also going for some sale. Most sales nowadays are a hit and run so it's always good to know which one to pick and when to sell out.

Isn't following trends quite dangerous if we invest and follow them? Influencers often exploit moments like this for their own benefit and gain, creating a sense of FOMO and ultimately becoming trapped. Indeed, many people are talking that we are almost approaching a bearish, and the cycle that many people expect about altcoins this year is really different from previous years. The current situation and trends are increasingly influenced by macroeconomic factors. This makes the market more volatile, and the much-talked-about bear market could last longer or result in a much deeper decline.

I think for major or big altcoins like Eth, bnb has experienced quite a significant increase and I am not too sure whether this major altcoin can print its new Ath or not. Each coin has a unique vision and mission to attract investors and build long-term value, but in this case, I am not too interested in investing in rwa coins or others like them. Experience is what makes me not take that step again and I don't want to speculate again. A little advice, be careful in choosing altcoins, not all altcoins will have a significant impact on your investment.

I don’t think I have any better strategy than continuing to buy more Bitcoin because I was really disappointed by those altcoins I invested in. Without that reason, I don’t really have any altcoin in my plan to invest in for now. It may happen that I buy later, but I don’t have any in mind at the moment.

I just want to keep accumulating Bitcoin because it seems that Bitcoin is what the crypto market is about now. Before, we used to have an altcoin season, but this time around, there is nothing like an altcoin season. If the Bitcoin price drops, that is what will determine other market conditions. So, for now and next year, I will stick to only Bitcoin and see how it works out next year.

What year did you invest? But if you invest a long time ago and miss the pump, then you can still feel the same since there is no alt season yet that occurs. Even BTC is still in a dump position but people are only giving a respect with it since it was the OG and still have performed better a lot of times before. Sometimes alt season can go on their own, but if we believe it follows BTC's movement, then waiting for BTC to rise before buying, may not be the best approach if we want to maximize profit.
