Quite a sad one even though the article wasn't in detailed about what exactly happened.
The truth is, bad and terrible people will always be among us. To them, it is easier to make money by stealing from others, than to work for it. But on the other hand, crypto holders have a lot of work to do in terms of keeping things private. He's the son of a mayor, and I can't even think of what could have possibly gone wrong, or perhaps how the criminals managed to know that he's a crypto holder.

There are certain things that are not even worth discussing in public or on social media. The last news I read about this same attack was done by a supposed pizza delivery guy_{(can't remember who created the thread now)}, who knows who's going to be next. It's sick to think that he gave this criminals his wallet password and they still continue beating him to death, and than burned his body
Now just imagine how corrupt governments are forcing everyone to reveal all bitcoin holders, and they this information is kept in some centralized server.
Even if you don't speak to anyone that you own bitcoin, criminals can still find this information from government source, either with leak or hack.
