Ricardo Salinas a businessman and even a Bitcoin investor is one of the big investors who has faith in Bitcoin. He believes that Bitcoin is the solution or even the way out of the inflation problem. The latest news said that he has a personal portfolio of around 70% in Bitcoin. And I think he might be one of the few people who have complete faith in Bitcoin as we don't often see people who have the courage to invest a large portion of their portfolio in Bitcoin. And he often talks about his belief in Bitcoin publicly. I personally think what he is doing has a positive impact on people's awareness of Bitcoin. And it seems he's been pretty consistent over the past few years as as he continues to increase his Bitcoin holdings or even always consistently provide support for Bitcoin.

What are your thoughts on this?

Bitcoin is not a religion to believe it or have a faith into it. There are reasons why it can succeed and why it can't but in this topic, I'll focus in the fact that as this person stated, Bitcoin will exceed $800,000.
Usually, I become crazy when someone posts Bitcoin will be worth one million or something like that because they have to look at Bitcoin's market cap. It can't magically become a million because in order for it to become that much, people have to invest trillions of dollars and it took us more than a decade to reach 3 trillion dollar market cap, it will take decades to reach 40 trillion dollars and more but in this case this man is 100% true. He said that Bitcoin will be worth $800k if Bitcoin reaches gold's store-of-value role.

If we look back at history of Bitcoin then 100k was a much speculated price and we saw Bitcoin rising to 100k. Now there are next targets also set for Bitcoin price like 150k and 200k. The way Bitcoin price is going up, it's not a matter of if but when we see these prices. 800k is very huge price, right now the next main targeted price for Bitcoin are 150k and 200k. Now big companies have also invested there money in Bitcoin and that will also help Bitcoin in rising to 150k or 200k in near future. We must remain confident that Bitcoin price will go up with every passing year.

He knows it that he doesn't want to be specific with it because there will be the time that it will reach $800k. But it is for sure that it's unknown when. Like the people who predicted $100k before when it's like around $500 to $1000. They don't know when it will happen but it just did. And it's the same for this prediction, maybe a couple more halvings and 4-year cycles and we'll see that.

In my opinion, Bitcoin will never surpass gold in market capitalization because gold not only has ever-increasing demand but also ever-increasing supply each year.

I actually believe Bitcoin's market cap can surpass Gold's, but I'm not deluded into thinking it's something that will happen soon. The constant supply of gold will not allow its price to become as high as Bitcoin's. Bitcoin, on the other hand, has the potential of getting to 200k after the next halving. So even if there is more gold in circulation, Bitcoin's limited supply will make its price continue to increase. I believe a time will come when the bitcoin price will be up to $2 million. It's not going to happen any time soon; I might be an old man or dead before it happens, but it will happen.

I stopped taking market cap seriously when I started looking at the coins on CoinMarketCap. Most of the top altcoins are just shit coins with a lot of coins in circulation. Ricardo Salinas has been an advocate of using Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation. He once advised Mexicans to sell their homes and rent and use the money to buy Bitcoin. The Billionaire said he prefers Bitcoin because you can take it anywhere you are going, but this is not the case with some assets.

His support for Bitcoin is positive because he has a large number of employees and followers who can become aware and invest in Bitcoin because of his involvement. Influential people can bring more awareness than I and some other small holders. We all know that fiat is dying slowly, and Bitcoin serves as a cushion to the negative effects of the depreciating fiat.

It's always cool to hear such predictions, especially for assets with wild volatility, speculative nature, and dependence on a huge number of external factors that do not depend on the asset itself. If all “analysts” with such predictions showed this from their personal experience, they could be believed or listened to.

If you visit my profile and you see where I wrote Bitcoin is going to hit $1m by 2030, will the that make it into the news. It doesn't sit well with me when someone suddenly begin to ran their mouth with speciations just for having some investment in Bitcoin. The market is open for everyone, you can make any speculation but I just feel the media loves it when an already establish person suddenly invest in Bitcoin and think they are the new philosopher of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin will get into millions in the future but all I know is that nobody in the history of Bitcoin has ever got it right when they make predictions, it's either over or under but most are always wrong about the price.

I do not expect anyone who is a strong believer and in bitcoin to say anything less than this. Talk about all the probitcoiners you know and look them up on the internet when they show up in the news it is always something like this. And more than half of them in my estimation, put their money where their mouth is. Quality counts more then quantity, he is rich but what he is using Bitcoin for counts most of all.   If it was just large amounts then Saylor is the key figure I guess.   I've been disappointed to hear they buy BTC but only enter the number onto a balance sheet and nothing further then that.
  This means every other company or user of Bitcoin is actually superior, they are using and relying on the actual ongoing operation of Bitcoin and that makes their opinion more important imo.   

Collectively people matter more then a singular figure like this, we could really look to the trend for a direction and in real usage not plain unused holdings as thats the real Bitcoin.

There are so many billionaires who believe bitcoin can touch $500K more and even call other billionaires $1,000,000... no problem with this means I am happy there is a businessman able to convince on bitcoin even though we all believe bitcoin can continue to rise.

What concerns us is how much will collect bitcoin and hold? Because it feels it is important for the longer it holds the higher the profit opportunity.
