The Altseason will indeed start from a low point and not at the time of ATH, but saying that the beginning of the Altseason will start is also not justified,
because a low point will actually be detectable if it has been passed and the price starts to rise again.

Altcoins start to hold and form a Higher Low and start to outperform Bitcoin,
cycles like this always happen when the price of Bitcoin is really stable so this is an opportunity for altcoins.

The term Altseason is indeed just a label of Society and not an official definition,
it is just a designation related to the Altcoin price increase at the same time as Bitcoin is completely sideways and dominates the altcoin.

And the most important thing is not about the term Altseason or so on, but how we can understand a Cyclical Context in each session

The hope for a 2024 alt season is pretty much dead imo, markets need time to heal the real question is what triggers the next one?

The latest full report from FED shows that even with the latest rate cut, there were a lot of opposite opinions in FED members and with newest reports on labor force and unemployment rates in the USA, it seems that in early months of 2026, there will be no more rate cuts. Since there's provably a chance that we might see a long bear market season knowing that we have seen lots of pumps from Bitcoin so many months. There are many reasons and contributors for general fear of people in spending money in altcoins and it affects Ethereum performance too. The underperformance of Ethereum results in bad market by lack of capital into altcoins.

The problem people think about buying in the dip and then it dips again, is that they give up and there's no hope for them. But the solution there is to buy again if they still have budget in it. Yet, if they don't have any budget to add more in it, that's okay. They're free to stop DCA if they don't have money yet for buying the lower dip. And soon as you've got enough money to do it, you know what to do next.

I was among those who accumulated altcoins because of the altcoin season I was expecting. But i have sold some of those altcoins, even though I was at a loss with those I invested in. The reason I sold them is that I feel the altcoin season many of us were expecting has already happened. So, I have concluded that I’m not expecting any altcoin season this cycle. But if it does happen later, that is fine, and I’ll just say that is crypto for me. Many others who believe in the altcoin season will know it may not happen again.

One thing that makes me believe there may not be an altcoin season is that, when Bitcoin’s price was pumping, many altcoins' prices were also rising. I understood the point you are making and it quite acceptable by me, what i got from what you are saying is the people are busy waiting for an altcoin season that has already happened which is true, i guess their expectations was more than what they saw and maybe the raily didn't happen to their own altcoins holding and why they are are expecting it to happen while it has already did, they failed to recognize or see the few that had new all time high, I completely agree with you the awaiting altcoins season has come and gone is a bitter truth which can be hard for some to accept.

This bonding between Alts and Bitcoin is getting stronger with every passing month. Bitcoin right now is down and as I said it's very unlikely that Alts can go up in current bearish Bitcoin market. Ethereum price is down and it's a good time to buy Eth for long run. We saw Eth getting closer to 5k last year and it has the potential to repeat that cycle again.
