Escrow is an open source smart contract reviewable by anyone, but what do you mean by forum-trusted escrow ? which one is that ?
He is referring to a forum-based escrow service provider that has been in operation for a while and has established its trust by successfully handling escrow transactions in the past. There are a couple of highly trusted forum members who offer escrow services, which you can also utilize. Even the forum admin kept the forum funds to other members, and one of them is OgNasty. I also heard of another member who had died, actually, and the forum wasn't able to recover its funds after his death. But as long as the forum investors trust the escrow service provider, you should not have any problem. Yeah, you are right and I personally think that any transaction that has to do with members of this forum should be completely kept within this forum, like when such a transaction involves getting an escrow on board, forum escrow is the best to go for as this ones have been tested and highly trusted, and fee structure is also clear to avoid any confusion. And to comment on the forum escrow who passed and the forum wasn't able to recover the funds in his possession, I have not heard or read anywhere of this incident but it's possible I missed it. But I think for a large amount belonging to the forum, one forum member shouldn't be entrusted to hold such fund, there should be a multi-sig wallet where atleast, 4 to 6 trusted forum users will be appointed to be a signatory of the wallet for this forum, this can help incase a member passes, funds can still be accessed.

I think I was able to come across the thread titled paraipain coin on the move, where the forum funds were moving even after the forum member's death. The guy actually died, but someone from his family or friends actually moved the funds somewhere else, and the forum lost that money. OgNasty was holding a large amount of funds as well, and he was getting fees too. But theymos decided to get back the funds and I think OgNasty do not hold any funds anymore. There was controversy about the forked coins claims as well, which is why we have been seeing a fight between Vod and OgNasty for a while.

I don’t think the bankroll investment model will work that well for a casino today, especially if most of the funding will only come from micro-investors.
The competition is already much tougher now. Casinos need serious capital for marketing, promotions, licensing, staff, liquidity, and everything else needed to survive. If the bankroll is built mostly from small investments, then the business itself may also remain too small to compete with established platforms.
Maybe this model worked better before, when the market was not yet this crowded. But today, I think you should consider changing the approach and look for one or a few serious investors instead of relying heavily on micro-investors.
Otherwise, people might just end up wasting both their money and time on a casino that may struggle to survive.

Agree it won't be competitive, but I'm looking for a new way of excitement there, and this won't be the only bankroll for sure, It's more of a staking solution to have a cut of house-edge, if house invest 100k and players invest 50k , 33% of the house edge will be distributed among players, stake/unstake will be daily basis( you get to choose how many days you lock your fund) so its also a risk and fun to watch how it plays out. Other model is hosting your own game with your own capital and see how it plays out. I'm looking for a sustainable new fun way to gamble, gambling is an expensive business now with little innovation.

Well, if that is really your setup, then at least you still believe your casino program can be competitive. Maybe you just need to clearly explain all your plans and proposals, so you can attract serious investors. You also need to show how the invested funds will be protected. I just want to ask if your casino already has a license, because that would give investors some kind of assurance. What happens if something goes wrong with their money?

Right now, I'm brainstorming while getting ready for announcement get more real people opinion on this. That's a bit tricky, License will actually limiting you when it comes to such mechanics, doesn't give protection as well no neither side. But a proof of investment(in shape of token or nft) 100% transparency of day bankroll and contribution, makes it easy to detect fraud. bankroll itself could be smart contract that stake and unstake only happens through its logic and owner of the contract can't withdraw unless its the P/L of its side. P/L of other contributers are withdrawable only by themselves (WIP). And if bankroll goes empty for the day, players simply see that ! they still can bet using native token and basically that token is withdrawable, with a hard limit for extreme cases to stop betting completely.

Hi Again,

Well, I had to spend hours reading posts in your Ann thread that's in the altcoins section To understand the purpose of your casino token. Have you seen how many casino tokens are successful? You'll see something very scary. The best token (I'm only talking about "best" according to the position the casino token occupies on CoinMarketCap at the time of my post) is in position number 230. Look at that, position 230, it's not a very high position When you look at Bitcoin, which is in position 1 and there are tokens and altcoins that are in positions much lower than 230. See the positions of the casino tokens: 1 - Shuffle ( position 230 ) 2 - Rollbit Coin ( position 237 ) 3 - BFG Token ( position 1134 ) source: https://coinmarketcap.com/view/gambling/And see how these 3 casinos have been operating for several years and have a solid customer base. But even so, the positions of their tokens are not the best. This shows the high level of difficulty for casino tokens to be widely accepted in the market. And yet you went ahead and created a casino token, knowing that your casino was new, didn't have a fixed customer base, and to make matters worse, you set a high minimum investment: "$3000". Let's think about this together: how many people are going to invest $3000 in a newly created casino when there are many other, slightly safer investments available? My point with this post is the following:You made a series of mistakes that you could have avoided if you had focused more on the present. The best approach is always to create a project with your own funds, and after it's finished, come back and post here to show good results without complaining. People don't invest in projects that have complaints from the creator.

Tokens in Wasabi( dual token system ) is not only for trading, it's also a utility token, things like staking, auction house, Loss as value is only possible and manageable using a unified token systemOnboarding into a new system like this is proved difficult, We need the community, and this is an opportunity of a real fair, value making and competitive system beyond just casino. Sustainability and minimum profit no loss is the goal now, bankroll system is pretty decent and trustless. We are still behind the new ANN and working on adding almost 100% transparency to daily activities.

Sorry to be one of those guys that didn't read everything, but I actually disagree with Botnake that there is no space now with all the competition for a public-funded bankroll casino. All the ones I know who've tried it and closed it were: - already too successful to continue carrying the investor liability so stopped, or - were wary of legislation complications so stopped, or - was Moneypot (what an idea this was!)
No one I knew stopped because it was no longer profitable. Bitvest is the only one still plugging along in this vein, I don't know the full picture there but it appears to still be wortwhile for users (and owner).
Have you thought about going back to the simple MP style I still believed had a brilliant idea, but poor risk management and a bad luck. Didn't need a token, just the basic idea of "house eventually wins".
I do think that casino tokens are a proven way to lose the trust of a community... but must admit here I'm not looking at any specifics you might have posted.

It is very close to MP more transparency and native tokens. Having bankroll, and features I have is hard to scale if platform supports many coins, imagine a bankroll of 5 tokens or more, pvp interactions hard to match players. Biggest of all is loss as value mechanism - 90% value back - I do agree with everything you said, and having coin is self damaging, I wanna create the trust by showing virtually everything to players, RNG, realtime bankroll, treasury ( tokens to platform token swap), what do you think about these?Players still can wager in other tokens, but can't invest, can't have the loss as value ( virtually 90% value back), Card battles and boxes. Next week Im hoping to release an early version and an Airdrop maybe here to get help of some to try the system.

Coincidence, we are not related, I just liked the name. Are you going to change the name of your service or will you going to continue with it? Because honestly, some people may feel misled by the name, assuming there is some direct relationship between your casino and wasabi wallet. Also, if you want people to try your service without having to deposit, just drop a demo or allow people to deposit Test Bitcoins instead of actual Bitcoins, so they can have a glance on the experience you wish to offer. Needless to say that getting private investors on this forum is quite difficult if you have a reputation and a name in order for people to give you bankroll, you would better off asking for a loan to a financial institution.

So changing their name will provably help them to build a trust from people. Also your suggestion is good towards offering demo or Bitcoin testnet deposit. Since this can help those people to try their casino without taking to much risk. Also since they are new for sure that getting private investor is so tough knowing that they are new, also no serious investor would easily grab their offers especially that they are not yet a reputable or or popular casino.

To be fair, the majority of people here on the forum would not be able to secure a huge enough investment to kickstart their own casino, there are only a handful of people, like theymos and other early adopters of Bitcoin who hold enough reputation and capital in the form of Bitcoin as a collateral. I don't like to tell people like OP bad news about their projects and ambitions, but we are supposed to be realistic in this life and not to only live off dreams and promises. If they want to open an actual casino, then they need to start from the ground up and not to seek money in this forum, with his blank reputation we would not even get a 100 dollar loan with no collateral on the lending section of the forum, let alone hundreds of thousands...

I feel some how to believe that gambling is a business as some today sees it, they will withdraw there hard earned money only to call it an investment where there is no garrant of the security of what ever funds is inputed in the gambling for bigger or better result may turn out becoming a wast of time at the end of the funding the losses that brings emotional confusion that becomes a stagma that creates scarls in the life of who ever is involved.

It is very close to MP more transparency and native tokens.
Having bankroll, and features I have is hard to scale if platform supports many coins, imagine a bankroll of 5 tokens or more, pvp interactions hard to match players. Biggest of all is loss as value mechanism - 90% value back -
I do agree with everything you said, and having coin is self damaging, I wanna create the trust by showing virtually everything to players, RNG, realtime bankroll, treasury ( tokens to platform token swap), what do you think about these?
Players still can wager in other tokens, but can't invest, can't have the loss as value ( virtually 90% value back), Card battles and boxes.
Next week Im hoping to release an early version and an Airdrop maybe here to get help of some to try the system.
Yeah, that's why I liked MP (IIRC it only had Bitcoin). Just one concept, many games, easy for anyone to plugin and host the game, everyone using the same global bankroll and investing in MP means benefitting from all the different casinos using the API. I do think more transparency would be very, very cool. The native tokens, I suppose, if you really find a way to not let that be the "make or break", perhaps. It has to be smarter and more useful than a regular lossback (without being too complicated)... I honestly can't speak much about tokenomics other than, if it's too complex, even if transparent, you'll lose the real players. I'd focus on blocking out pure speculators. Too many tokens die early deaths because they were rugged by speculators and developers (yes, the only real way a token can survive is if the developers sacrifice their "easy ticket". All that locking doesn't work). Can't promise I'll try it, but you won't find a shortage of players on this forum =) GL! I miss those public-investor-casino-bankroll days!

Currently hands on working on transparency and decreasing complexity, one thing I've added is the instant swap between WT <=> USDT though there is a catch, you should wager enough volume (proof of play) to be able to make the exchange. otherwise price would be manipulated easily, but shouldn't be a problem for players. Also there will be collectibles ( pages are online but not functional ) that players could go into PvP using collectibles and trade them inside/outside the platform or even sell them back to house! I'll shout here when ready, to give it a try which will be very soon.
