I always have a limit in mind, but that limit changes based on your financial situation. For me, it is 10 dollars loss per day is more than enough and I won't gamble more. However, that is not easy because I do not play casino games that often, which means I gamble sportsbooks most of the time.
So in that situation if I do gamble games where it's just normal sports, then if I wager 10 bucks, I will have to wait until I see the result of that game before I get to gamble even more. Makes no sense for us that we are going to end up with more, and waiting is boring. In any case, that is what I do, and if I do gamble more, then I just wait even more before I get back and gamble again, if it is 30 dollar loss, then I don't gamble for 3 days.
But it's really good that you have a limit and respect it, right? Many people can't do that because they have a certain imbalance. Waiting is really annoying, but it ends up preventing impulsive bets or trying to recoup losses. In the end, this control makes more of a difference than the amount itself.
I admire your way of playing!
