I would rather put that 80% of accidents are caused by human carelessness. It's not necessarily accidents, some cars daily brake, some accidents are caused by distractions while driving. Ask these are cared by human shortcomings. Exec drinking before driving is still cause be human carelessness. These festive seasons people are also in a hurry and end up overspeeding, eg the recent car crash involving an SUV carrying A. Joshua which ran into a stationary lorry and was caused by overspeeding. Human errors contribute a lot of road mayhem and people need to be really careful.

We should avoid alcohol when driving at all time. If you are drunk, then you are no longer in your right senses, so anything can happen and you are endangering your life and people around you.

Right now in my country, some commercial drivers have to habit of drinking alcohol before driving which is so wrong, I will encourage government to ban alcohol in some particular location which is including car parks.

If you want to drink, then you can do that in your house, when you know you won’t be going out anymore, or you won’t even go close to car. Also if you want to drink, and you want to do that at a bar, then make sure you book a ride which is going to take you home, and if you are having a driver, make sure your driver should be the one that will drive you home, don’t even try to drive yourself.
