Your 2025 gambling mistakes

I'm going to tell you about my biggest mistake, and I think most people here will relate to it, hahaha:

My biggest mistake was trusting my team too much and not having the courage to bet against them 
I bet on soccer most of the time, and I confess that it's really hard to bet against my team. I've lost several bets believing in and rooting for my team, and I've been making this mistake for a few years now...

Do you guys do that too?

Unfortunately I suffer the same fate as you. I’m a football fan, and it’s hard to bet against my team even though I know the chances of winning is slim. It’s easy to say sentiments should be removed from gambling but the reality is very different. I can’t seem to shake the feeling of guilt when I bet against my football club, it’s always a mixed reaction for me when I make such bets.

I do not have any gambling mistakes this year, I do not lose up to $100 but I used around $500 to able which is around $10 weekly. I think that is not bad at all. The little amount of money I use on gambling makes gambling fun for me. I gain in some bets and casinos games but there are time that I lose also. In overall, I am in loss this year but it is nothing that I should think about at all as I can afford to lose the little amount of money.

Some people will have some mistakes that they will want other people to learn about and avoid. I hope some new gamblers can read this thread and learn from what people are posting.

That is really how it should be for gamblers in any form of online gambling, like here in the crypto business we are currently navigating. Just like you, I also apply limits to my gambling: I play about twice a month, and for each game, I stay within a $30 limit. Once that money is gone, I stop immediately just like that.

The year 2025 is a good year for me in my gambling habits of the year that I have no much regret on, that will make me feel too bad if I remember them.

On that note, I would like 2026 to go in the same way as last year that I didn't lose money that will make me to feel unhappy about it, instead I will be happy that I was able to lose the amount that I can afford to lose at the end of my days betting. No feelings that beat that, you went home knowing fully well you didn't lose money that can affect your weekly or monthly finances

You are not much different from me, my experience in gambling this year has been more cleaner and decisive decision period and that kept me at a positive position all through the year helping me to maximize my winnings and also lower the losses tendency, the way a pick my bets now is way more information driven much more than emotionally inclined as it used to be for me in previous year's, so 2025 is a good gambling year for me I must accept that fact.

One of my 2025 gambling mistake was, there was a time I was playing sport bet which I stacked some amount of money, at the beginning the game was going very fine, which made them showed me about 150% of my initial stacked amount towards the end of the game..  But I refused to cash out, all because i wanted my full win.. then suddenly but the game ends they exceeded the corner which made it a losing game..
it pained me and I regretted not cashing out the initial cash out..

I had several such mistakes. I thought that after winning just one more bet, I would withdraw most of my funds. But on the next bet, I lost and at the same time I lost all my funds. I had several successes. Among them, I won $220 on one bet and $300 on another. The most important thing for gamblers is to be determined not to gamble again after winning. In my opinion those who can control this time and stop gambling can reduce the amount of losses to a large extent. This is an important lesson I learned from gambling in 2025. Most of the time, your expectations from gambling will not be met. If you do win you will have to stop gambling and withdraw money to enjoy that win.
