Is "Responsible Gambling" just a legal disclaimer, not a real protection?

 The action of every gambler is their burden to carry and if you fail to be responsible while gambling then it's your fault and not the casino.

There are gamblers who are stupid enough to blame casinos for their own mistakes and completely misunderstand what responsible gambling really means, but honestly they’re just a few so it’s not even a big issue to raise. Responsible gambling is simply a reminder for every gambler to bet within their limits so gambling stays enjoyable regardless of the outcome of the bet.

Is it really true that when casinos claim to protect players based on the idea of "responsible gambling", but in reality they are using this tool to shield themselves from gamblers legally? They claim that they have given the gamblers a chance not to become addict or lose money on their platform.

So now responsibility is shifted away from the platform and onto the individual. And in a hindsight, "Play responsibly" is somewhat design to be opposite, as it could encourage us to play more?

I think it's just a legal disclaimer or a law stated by the government to create awareness, because a lot of individuals will blame the companies with the excuse of not being aware of the implications, just like the cigarette companies will warn customers of the implications but still produce. It's not the gambling company that will tell you how to use your money. As a gambler, it's your responsibility to gamble well, because at last you will be the one to be held accountable for any bad decision you make while gambling.

I was came across a case where a user upon realizing that he was about to blow his bankroll actually reported himself to the casino on addiction problems with hopes that his account be closed but, the actions wasn’t taken immediately and so, he resolved to gambling and lost all the money.

This is where you would hope that the responsible gambling advocation should kick in. This never happens and that’s why it would always be a shield until something changes but, it’s not their problem is it!

Is it actually the fault of the casino that the person lost his whole bankroll? That person kept gambling, and he/she shouldn't depend on the immediate action of the casino admins. Plus if he/she he had an addiction problem, then he/she should be calling a mental health doctor IMMEDIATELY instead of waiting for immediate action to lock his/her account.

And they could use that to file a law suit against the casino saying that, "the casino didn't tell them it's a risky activity." It's how some people do, they look for an opportunity to sue a company so that when they win the case, they can receive collateral damage and then move to another company. That's what some women do for a living, they enter a rich man's life and later file for a divorce and then the properties of the man is being splitted.
