If you must know gambling projects or no gambling projects anyone who decides to be active can really be active without even enrolling themselves into gambling projects or even joining campaign as a matter of facts. There are lot of boards to have discussion and it must not be gambling section to have discussion. For instance; if you check the WO section you could see real people who doesn't engaged themselves with gambling discussion rather are just focusing and having the cruise and rides of Bitcoin discussion over there without even getting closer to other board which could likely diverts their attentions.
However, if you also look forward at the technical sections you would also see those who are active, not necessarily mean that they must joined campaign but they are in that section answering technical questions and joining the discussion. What happens is that, I think the forum is a matter of interest and areas of dedication. Of course not everyone who comes to look for money here, there are people who are already made and just coming here to catch fun and having real life discussion with people who are interested in Bitcoin because that is their vision and they believed in Bitcoin development and adoption.
Moves down to how we are losing valuable members in the forum; well, I must say this is not something new anymore as we believe that life can't keeps riding along with everyone, and of course taxi bus doesn't Carry everyone to same direction or destinations, at some point some people could likely drop by the road side while some people drops at the nearest junction, some keep proceeding. Same ways goes to those sets of people whom you graduated from secondary and university level, some are self employed while some are still searching jobs. In summary we must not see everyone at all times, some people could be facing life challenges and real life matters over themselves, some or most of them are gone, while others could be sourcing for a better life other than being active on the forum. Of course, we don't have same vision and direction, hence I believe that there are people who directly or indirectly working towards their mission, vision and passion in their Fields of their studies.

Yes, it is true that over the years we have lost some very reputable and well-known members. The first name that comes to mind for me is Lauda, followed by Marlboroza. There are also other members whose names I can't recall at the moment. I can't say that I always agreed with them; sometimes we even argued, but I still miss them. Why did they leave? Of course, I don't know their personal reasons, but I can share my experience, as I haven't been active on this forum for the past two years. Our life and personal circumstances change, other obligations and responsibilities come up, sometimes we get tired of certain activities, and it's perfectly healthy to take a break and focus on other things. After all, there is life outside this forum as well. I returned to the forum when my personal circumstances changed and because I now have more free time and fewer obligations, and I never stopped following the forum. The fact is that online forums have become an outdated form of communication, and it is actually the signature campaigns that give life to this forum.

Honestly, I think I'd like to see a forum led initiative to try and promote healthy discussion in an attempt to increase the popularity of the forum. However, I'm not sure how that would look or work.
I am not hoping that any initiative would do any good or bring more healthy discussion when we know that people mostly using social media these days for posting about anything, including bitcoin. Problem I see with social media like twitter is that owners are always changing algorithms, and they can easily start banning or shadow-banning anything. And most people simply moved to other things, same like Satoshi did long time ago.

One name I still remember strongly was "Ratimove". And as far as I remember, he used to add useful topics to his thread (I think his thread name was 'Encyclopaedia CMIIW'!) so that newbies could get useful information in a quick way, but sadly we lost that gem, and he passed away. Ratimov had his nickname changed to Symmetrick, went kinda nuts, started name calling, deleted every post he could, backed out of a sponsorship, and eventually was banned. He single-handedly destroyed his reputation and left. No one is indispensable. Although some people may be good and helpful to people in the forum but I never see issues in it if they were ban for later not keeping the forum rules. No one should be above the rules no matter how important you are. Well, although we may be losing some knowledgeable people but is only God type that doesn't exist. More knowledgeable people will keep coming to the forum also as some knowledgeable people are moving out. In here, people go, people come, forum remains. I did not interact with Leo much and I had to take note of him when he wrote about his situation and exit from the forum, that was when I had to go through his posts, sincerely he was a great asset to this forum and was loved by many.
Some may live due to lack of interest or just too busy at the moment to be available on the forum. And this is something we can't do anything about. Everybody with his/her opinion about life.

The forum is experiencing a decline in membership, largely because new participants are discouraged from remaining active. For instance, I have over forty years of collecting experience and have been a business owner for more than thirty years. Despite this, I have observed that the prevailing attitude within the forum often fails to recognize the contributions. It is essential to implement strategies that encourage member retention. Legendary members should focus on mentoring rather than criticizing or belittling newcomers. Currently, new members frequently encounter disrespect and, at times, bullying. There are certainly exemplary members within the community. If you support and welcome new members, your forum is more likely to grow and succeed. If you don't nurture your new member, the forum will no longer exist. Proof: Based on my experience, I anticipate that critics will strongly oppose my post.

Ratimov had his nickname changed to Symmetrick, went kinda nuts, started name calling, deleted every post he could, backed out of a sponsorship, and eventually was banned. He single-handedly destroyed his reputation and left. I think it's now two years since the user Ratimove (Symmetrick) left the forum, and the forum moved on without them and many of them that left the forum as well. My main problem with Symmetrick is the fact that he deleted almost all the possible valuable posts he made that are useful to newbies; he could have left the posts to benefit the forum users since he made them for the forum, but since he decided to delete them, he became less valuable and was forgotten so easily by the forum users regardless of all the good contribution he gave newbies and other community members. Many users left the forum and will still always be remembered because they left a good legacy of knowledge to the forum; users like o_e_l_e_o because of the contribution he gave to the forum in making sure we value our privacy, and other members that were very good and shared good knowledge with the forum. Therefore, no condition is permanent; members will come and go. Let's focus on how we can help others.

In this life, people come and go. That's the freedom choice gives you. Asides from those who were called home to rest, probably the others left for reasons best known to them and we can't beat ourselves for their departure. Yeah, they left a space behind but time will fill it so instead of dwelling on those that left, I feel the best way to deal with the void is to focus on being better versions of ourselves so that even though we can't eventually feel those spaces, we can tell ourselves that at least when it got our turn, we able to make an impact on someone's life.
In every places and things people come and go, as long as there are people to replace the void that their exit created the place or in our own case here in this forum will continue to be active. My respect to all the reputable accounts that have been here and those that are still here, being active and sanitizing the forum. Nothing lasts forever some will unfortunately pass on and others will move on due to other things that gives them more fulfilment, lastly some accounts are banned which is involuntary exit. I can imagine in the next 10 years from now if the forum is still going strong and active not all of us that are active in it today will still be here it's not possible, some will leave the forum voluntarily, banned or unfortunately death. I really love this forum, it's now a part of my life now and I'm enjoying it, I hope to be here for a very long time.

Everything as is own prime, and when the time comes you will leave and another person will start from where you stop that is life Everything is just like temporary nothing last forever. Since before I comes to the forum they have many kind users that are doing well and try there best to keep the forum alive but some are not more anymore and others take over by following there patterns. This forum is a very good place that you will get more experience and get alot of knowledge about different things not only bitcoin knowledge.

It is sad to admit that something feels missing in the forum. Those who didn't witness that era won't understand the kind of energy felt in the forum. Every interaction felt educational, even in disagreements, there were some things to learn from it. Then, newbies were more genuine in their intentions than today newbies who are majorly interested in chasing merits and ranking up. When top personalities like oeleo, DdmrDdmr, 1maiu and the rest of them interact with your post, it meant something. Well such is life, change remains constant.
That being said, I will want everyone to know that this is still bitcointalk forum. It will do us no good if we keep dwelling on the past, occupying our minds with the thoughts of how the forum is dying or have lost its vibes because of the people who have left the forum. There are still people who bring this same energy, we just ain't giving them that much credit.
