Anyone received any bitcoin for this Christmas this year? Might be a good time to gift out bitcoins because we can buy it for a cheaper price. Would you appreciate if someone bought you bitcoin or do you think others would come to appreciate something that would be useable long term?

I would definitely appreciate it if someone gave me bitcoins as a gift, but among my circle of friends in real life, there are no people who own bitcoins. They have heard about them, but they are not eager to become owners and are unlikely to think of giving someone a gift in the form of bitcoins at any given moment. It would probably be possible to give it to someone, but the thing is, not everyone would want to deal with it and would most likely not appreciate such a gift. Bitcoins can only be given to people who understand how to use them and know their value. Incidentally, Bitcoin has one significant advantage as a gift. Bitcoin can be given very quickly to people who are thousands of kilometers away from you, and within minutes or, at worst, tens of minutes, its new owner can start using it.

It is rear for people to gifts Bitcoin as Christmas present, instead they will prefer to gifts physical presents like cash, food, clothes, gadgets like phone and toys or flowers, but hardly they give Bitcoin. But if I receive Bitcoin as a gift then its not a Big deal. I Will definitely appreciate and accept it in good Faith. And it will be my best gift of the year.

I would also be very happy if my Christmas gift were Bitcoin and yes that would be the best gift in life. However the problem is as you said, it's very rare for people to give Bitcoin as a gift they prefer physical goods and cash that can be used immediately.

But we don't know maybe there are people out there who receive Bitcoin as a Christmas gift even if both parties know about Bitcoin or both own Bitcoin and understand its benefits. In my country there was a wedding using Bitcoin as a wedding gift and after checking both partners did understand Bitcoin. I mean the purpose of giving a gift is to make the recipient happy. If you give Bitcoin to someone who doesn't understand Bitcoin they won't be happy to receive it even if you give them all your Bitcoin assets.

This is a truly wonderful gift, and I'd love to receive it and give it to someone. But psychology generally says that people respond much better to gifts that they can touch, even though Bitcoin is great in its own right in the digital world. So if I were giving someone Bitcoin, or at least a fraction of it (you know how valuable one Bitcoin is), I'd find some backed-up coin, or at least some Bitcoin-themed merchandise, so the gift would be more relatable. A T-shirt or cap with a crypto symbol or the inscription "Satoshi" would probably be appropriate.

No i didn't receive any BTC, i received other stuffs from my friends and family and i also gave out things as well, but not BTC. Many of the people in my life are not bitcoiners, so i do not want to put them through the stress of understanding what i am about to gift them and how to keep it safe, so my reason for choosing something else.

However, i would not mind receiving BTC as a gift on christmas or my birthday, i never have and i think it would be great. Do i think i have a chance of receiving one? I would say very low, except my loved ones decide to embrace crypto this year.

Honestly as of now, there is nothing that one can gift me that will be as valuable as bitcoin present, because i know the value in it and what it may turned to be after some time, we should also contribute to allow others learn and benefits from what bitcoin is and the role it plays in todays economy, because there's nothing that could have been as valuable as being given bitcoin as a gift and we hold.
