I'm paying around 0.12€/kWh on a prepaid yearly contract. I've got a bunch of RX 5500s and RX 5600s running KAWPOW !!!
My contract locks me in at 18kW permanently but I'm only pulling about 15kW right now, so those extra 3kW are going to waste if I don't put them to work.

There's no breaker at 18kW, it's not hard limited, but anything above that gets billed at a much higher rate.
You're right that pumps aren't what they used to be, but with the electricity already paid for regardless, it costs me nothing extra to keep mining.

In Russia, we install 15-kilowatt breaker in private homes, but electricians can install a breaker that, according to the documentation and appearance, appears to be rated for 15 kilowatts, but in reality, it operates at up to 30 kilowatts. If I were you, I would probably mine BTC and BCH solo.

Actually been thinking about picking up a Bitmain Antminer S21 Pro but man that thing pulls 3000W on its own.

My setup can handle it for now but if I want to add anything else in a few months I'll be hitting the limit of my contract.
And that's the thing with ASICs, you drop serious money on it, you don't know how long it stays profitable, new gen comes out and suddenly your machine is a space heater.

Now my electricity rate is locked for a year but what happens after that? If prices jump even 20 or 30% the math doesn't work anymore and you're stuck with a very expensive paperweight.

Still tempting though, the hashrate on those things is insane compared to GPU mining ... Need to think about it.

Look at these presets, you can choose any operating mode, such as 2500 watts and 176 terahash, if you use third-party firmware, but you need to clarify some points before starting the firmware.

You have free electricity, so you don't need to keep track of new ASICs. Model 21 should pay for itself and generate profit before the halving.

Honestly im leaning more toward a standard S21 used rather than the Pro.

The Pro is still around $3k even second hand, but you can find a standard S21 at like $800 on Compass.
Sure its 200 TH/s instead of 234 but at that price its way less risky as a first ASIC to test things out.

Plan would be run it a few months, see how it goes with my setup, and if the numbers work out I sell my GPUs on eBay and upgrade to the Pro later.

Plus Vnish supports the standard S21 too with presets and chip throttling which apperantly isnt even available on the Pro.
So I can still tune the power draw to fit my 3kW headroom

Since you have free electricity, you'll pay for your ASIC in 4-5 months, and if the price of Bitcoin rises, this period will be shorter.
Don't hesitate to ask Vnish tech support about the optimal ASIC production years and firmware versions. Several of my colleagues have already bricked their ASICs and bought new controllers.
