I told my friend that he is greedy that afterall he has made a lot of profit from Bitcoin that he should have bought the car despite the dip. I think that if we have made profit and our long term goal of holding Bitcoin matures we should spend the Bitcoin because it is our money. No need to consider whether it falls into bull run or bear run because we are in already in profit over the years.
Why are you bordering yourself over someone's investment? Honestly, I don't see any reason to disturb ourselves too much for something that is not our own, even though you are friend to him doesn't mean you would be the one to decide him because Bitcoin investment it's a personal decision, as long as he's not relying on anybody he has every right to change his mind, that is absolutely not greedy at all. because it's obvious that he wants to extend the holding which nobody else can stop him from achieving his goal so don't be too annoyed with him because it's not a bad ideal.

This talk go well , you make better sense here , but to some person to commot their investment money take spoil themselves dey dey very hard , because when you don think how long way you don dey the journey, e get something way you go wan do , e go come be like financially mistake , to come that far no really easy oooo, way to make money no easy y, come still accumulate for over 8years , but I be person way believe on order of priority, for am not buy that car , e fit don reason say e never be priority for now , make e still dey hodl till when the time is right , if not on a norms person no suppose regret to spend e money .
Life is short, this isn't persimmistic statement it's just a reminder that we can work hard to make a lot of money and you cannot tell what happens the next minute, there are people that have died and couldn't spend all the Bitcoin that they have accumulated and at the end of the day they don't spend any of it. One thing I've learnt as an investor is to always reward myself at the right time, just investing continuously has no purpose. Buy what you need and have no regrets because that's the entire purpose of living. Self care is very important. I completely agree with you, if we cannot enjoy what we are working hard for, then it is completely worthless. We should first enjoy what we have worked hard for, because human life expectancy is short, we do not live forever, that is why we should not make any decision that we will not live to fulfill. Everything should be in moderation, not to the point of excess. The uncertainty of life is a reality that none of us can avoid. That is why we should not do anything by making ourselves suffer, we should keep everything at a level that we can enjoy.

Anyone can invest in Bitcoin, it is independent for everyone, Bitcoin investment is a completely personal matter for the investor, it is absolutely not right to force anyone to invest or sell, I think if your friend wants to hold Bitcoin for the long term, then he can hold it, it is his asset, it is completely his personal matter. As a friend, you can warn him about the volatility of the market, it is not right to force him to sell his asset. An investor can buy Bitcoin completely independently and can sell it independent and can hold it for the long term.

Well, his money, his choice, you can't force him to withdraw money from his investment, and even if he did not end up buying it, it is not greed, is just a plan that couldn't work out because of some circumstances,
Its not that Bitcoin has crashed, there is still hope, he can still get the car or even a better car as a matter of fact.
One thing about life is plan if you plan to do something, make sure you stick with that plan no matter what.

Well, you are wrong when you said he was greedy. He isn't, he is a simple business man that understands the importance of profit, some of us have a problem with the way we think, we feel like when we make little money we should buy ourselves a house and some beautiful cars and so on. Just to show off. That isn't a wise decision as a trader. Most billionaires we admire today didn't own a car at the beginning of their success. That young man is a disciplined trader and his story should be shared to many people so we can learn from this. This is to tell you that you can postpone that car you want to buy, no be by force, sometimes all you need is a little patience. He will have cars at the right time, allow him take his time and build himself, you were being judgemental when you called him greedy, I mean at the end of the day, everyone is being selfish for their own best interests. He seems to even understand the Market more than you. He has done his calculations and he knows the market will pick up again, and he will make enough profit to buy a new car. He only needs the profits to buy a car while his capital is still instant. He is a brilliant, calculative and strategic trader and I admire his courage and resilience. I'm not saying you shouldn't spend your Bitcoin, but spend it wisely when it should be spent, and make sure it doesn't affect your capital.

This context of spending, I think once it's done out of moderation, it's not encouraging even one enemy given a friend such encouragement is not ideal, but one should not die while waiting against to store pile, if the money is there to spend the best is to spend wisely the purpose of everything one does on earth is to feel the good part of living and given the body the satisfaction it needs but when it's not moderate it very harmful. As long as human life is no body can determine how individual spend his money the only way one mediate is advice but is left to the person to follow or do according to his wish or will. Some person have the mindset set of spending without regret mostly those who believe in pleasure never ready to regret even if it's there capital on their investment once the spirit to spend entered don't care if it will affect them or not.

Omo for me, unless I de die and them need all my assets before I go commot money from my investment say market de stagnant. I personally believe that we should have separate accounts, one for investment and the other for trading other altcoins if you into it or maybe other stream of income so maybe if you want to buy a car, you can use from that other income stream through savings. Some years back that's how I panic and sold a significant portion of my bitcoin portfolio and I regretted it after it pump to a new ATH.

Taking profit from our bitcoin holding after getting to your bitcoin over accumulation point is not something wrong unless after holding for many years bitcoin is still at dip no profit yet but i don't think it's possible to hodl our bitcoin for several years without making profit from it. Bitcoin is volatile asset which can go high in price and also dip down in price too so if after investing and holding and you see that there is some profit you can sell some portion of your bitcoin holding and still be holding and also be buying bitcoin.

The investors in bitcoin are waiting to reach a specific limit. Those who invest for the long term are waiting to reach their goals, I hope bitcoin will definitely give them that opportunity to reach their milestones. Personally, I have a small investment and i'm continuing to invest by maintaining (DCA) just to reach the goal. I don't know what other people will do but personally after reaching a specific limit I will leave some part of bitcoin and take the profit.

Na normal plan wey plenty people get be that and e no bad as far say wetin you talk so na so you go run am by not exiting the market prematurely or completely as that isn't a wise decision to take. Our people say as you dey invest try dey chop life small small too as you no know how life go be tomorrow. You might plan your life as perfectly as you wish but life might have other plans so it isn't just about hodling while living broke but also spend some Bitcoin on yourself to enjoy the experience that Bitcoin offers not only the final destination. Bitcoin was created for spending therefore we shouldn't forget that feature so as to keep the Blockchain functional. If we don't spend some Bitcoin here and there, how then are we to keep the currency functional. Not saying we should spend all our Bitcoin but doing a little bit of everything is actually a better way of adopting Bitcoin.

Of course, the Bitcoin market is always open for everyone to invest, without anybody stopping you, because it's a personal decision. Sometimes people make things difficult for their friends, which is absolutely wrong because each and every one of us here invest in Bitcoin with our own decision and money. Even though most people go to the extent of borring money to invest, yet it still doesn't concern anyone else at all, because he's still the one that will cater for everything at last.

The right thing for investors to in such situation is just to sell that amount that he have as profit and leave the capital you invested. Make I say the investor put $5k for d bitcoin, and after many years him con dey on profit and him asset value con be like $8k, the investor should sell $3k worth wey him get as profit and keep the remaining $5k worth as his continuous holdings. And make him dey build from there through dca method.

Your friend holding till now is the Smart thing to do . This is the reason we need to learn how to allocate our money properly , know the percentage that’s going to saving , the one going to emergency fund, the one going to investment and stuff . With that you will able to set aside some funds meant for meeting some target like that of a car . Your friend should be sure that he has gotten the amount of bitcoin he want to get (accumulation goal ), before thinking of taking profit from his investment.

And also as long as the money he used in investing is his own, he has every right to make whatsoever decision he wants. His main aim was to make profit over time that’s why he invested and if along the line he decides to sell and later changed his mind to keep holding, it is still part of his goals because that was the main purpose from the beginning. Bitcoin investment serves different purposes to different individuals, same as our goals are different. But then again if you’ve a reached your target on why you invested, it then feels good achieving that goal rather than depriving yourself from it.

I know that Bitcoin is good to hold for many years so that it's value will increase very well and you will make a lot of profit. What if you have long term plan on what to do with your Bitcoin like in the next 8 years and it happens that it fall into bear run at that time meaning that price has dip. What will you do, will you go ahead and sell or hold it till the next bull run?
Why I brought this topic up is because I have a friend that has been into Bitcoin investment for many years before I even knew about Bitcoin, clearly he has made a lot of profit from it. In the middle of this year he told me that he was going to buy a car in this December, from his Bitcoin profit. We were very happy about the ATH a few months back and he said that he couldn't wait for December, to buy the car. To my surprise he hasn't bought the car till now, his reason was that price is bellow $100,000. He has postponed the car matter indefinitely till there is a new ATH.

I will ever feel any regret for sounding my bitcoin atleast not in a world that life isn't guaranteed, so as long as you're selling your bitcoin for a just cause, then there shouldn't be any reason to hold back but with regards to the illustration you have in the first paragraph, I will never advise you to sell your bitcoin at a loss simply because you gave yourself a time frame which can still be adjusted, so what I'm saying is that, if you have a tangible reason to sell your coin especially if you're not selling at a loss then it is fine.

Just like the topic says, we shouldn't regret spending our Bitcoin because it's our own. If you have reached your over accumulation stage, it's okay to take some of it to settle somethings and maybe grab some fun, yea. I don't think it's that bad. Me as a person, I can actually withdraw some chunk of my holdings to solve some issues even when am not in my over-accumulation stage yet. Of our, like you mentioned, we bought Bitcoin for ourselves, to be used and not for Bitcoin to use is, lol. But the major point I want to make here is this... There is a difference between someone who is just taking some to settle things and plans to re-buy and replace,, and someone who sees his investment as a fall back on anytime he sees there is no money with him or wants to spend unnecessary money. We must be able to withdraw responsibly and also makes good plans of replacement.

If at some point something came up and an investor is left with only his Bitcoin to settle the issue with I do not think selling it at that point is bad so far there is no dip then. Also the main aim of our Bitcoin investment is to make profit over a period of time so if an investor is lucky to make a good profit before the said time and has plans it is advisable to sell and settle and take care of ones needs because most times we make so much profit but leave it waiting to get more profit and boom it dips below normal, leaving a person devastated especially if the Bitcoin was supposed to be used for something like that of this Ops friend. Greedy sometimes can cause serious regret.
