its not my most favorite personally but i do have a great interest in dune politics ecology and religion all in one. blade runner is another one so deep in philosophical all about identity and what is actually mean for us to be who we are. it is a great palyground for so many ideas and great stories

I've to re-watch so many including Dune, it's been a while!
Blade Runner had a great visual style and even better music, but the story doesn't add up. The questions asked are quite important though.

My favorite science fiction is the kind that mixes big ideas with strong characters. I love stories that explore future technology, space travel, and “what if” questions about humanity. Classics like Dune and 1984 really stick with me, but I also enjoy modern sci-fi that feels realistic and thoughtful. For me, the best science fiction makes you think long after you’ve finished it.

I've written one with almost exactly those themes, still not sure if I should publish it or not.

Also check out Nemesis (1992)

Science fiction is quite mundane. Reality is way wilder than science fiction.

Depends, some are not even science fiction, rather fairytale like going back in time or a jungle coming out of a board game. I think a true work of science fiction can in no way be mundane, by design.
I mean not yet at least, pretty sure a decade from now there won't be much "fiction" left in this world with all that's happening.

Flubber

Flubber was really something, it reminds me of Bicentennial Man too.

I came here to post some less seen stuff for the weekend:

Automata (2014)

Czlowiek z magicznym pudelkiem (The Man with the Magic Box)
imdb.com/title/tt5782146
This is one of very few with a Blade Runner style, like more than 2049 and also more than Automata.

and although I've mentioned this before, Impostor (2001)

Hope you all enjoy these!

Modern day science seems to be the most interesting science fiction ever created.

Back in the late 19th century, science said that everything had been invented that ever would be invented. And modern scientific theories are continually being discarded for better ones.

Science is the greatest science fiction that exists.

That's true, well, that's why it's called science... fiction.

Anyway, I'm back with some stuff for the upcoming weekend:
  • Extract (2018)
  • Andover
  • Just Visiting (probably just the original)
  • Robot (1982) Sort of Blade Runner of Poland.
  • Ad Astra (2019)

Hope you all enjoy these, I'm also again debating whether to release my lockdown scifi story, anyone interested let me know, or... let's vote on it! That would be better.

Cheers...

I’m definitely into sci-fi. If I had to pick just three, they’d be:

1. Interstellar – probably my favorite movie of all time.
2. The Matrix – it completely changed how I looked at technology and reality.
3. The Three-Body Problem – one of the most fascinating sci-fi books I’ve read in recent years.

Honorable mention: Black Mirror. Some episodes feel less like science fiction every year.

I would choose "Interstellar" by Christopher Nolan, eyes shut...
