Account logged out without clicking "LOGOUT"

No, I very rarely do that.
I have two active login sessions (always logged in), on two devices and one browser type (two different Google accounts), but everything is completely under my control. It's been working fine until today; this incident happened on both of my devices.

Since you are very sure your devices are all under your control, you have tracked your IP and not seen any login from a strange or different location, and you are sure you didn't use another device apart from your two devices to browse the forum, then you have nothing to worry about since you have 2FA set in the account.

However, I will advice you to update your browser; maybe it is outdated, if didnt work, you can decide to use another browser because majority of the forum users here responded that they are not encountering similar problem, so your browser might be the problem; therefore, update your browser or use another browser.

As the title says, has anyone else experienced this recently? It's happened to me twice today. I thought my account was hacked or I accidentally clicked "log out." But the second time, I clearly clicked the "reply" button to reply to the thread, but I was logged out.
Fyi, I checked "always logged in" and haven't logged out in over 3 month on the same device.

Sometimes an accidental mouse click could be the cause. The number of minutes to stay logged in could be the cause. Omegastarscream also pointed out something important. If you have your cache and browser history cleared on the browser of another of your synced account then you'll automatically get logged out in your current device.

If you are using any antivirus on windows, it may be the cause. Most of them have permission to delete things without informing you. Check your IP log in your account settings area and see if there's a different IP a reroute can log you out too.If non of these ring a bell , just to be safe log out , delete and reinstall your browser and serif it happens again.

I've read your posts about experiencing this before, and it seems I'm not alone.
I've been intentionally inactive for almost 24 hours. The page https://bitcointalk.org/myips.php only records two IP logs per day (on my end). Yesterday, it recorded one of my IPs, and I was hoping there would be another strange IP recorded on the same date.
But there wasn't. The cause of this remains a mystery, but I don't think it's a serious issue anymore after seeing that your accounts are fine.

Another thing, modern browsers generally have a "sync" feature which syncs sessions between computers. It might be that something related to this has gone wayward. Do you have that feature enabled?

No, I never synced anything; I use a different Chrome (Gmail) account, as explained earlier.

Yours makes more sense. iirc If I choose to always stay logged in, I'll see a large number in the "Minutes to stay logged in:" field after clicking login. This is probably the conclusion:

Always stay logged in = stay logged in for a next year

This was not the issue. My account has been logged in for ever 3 months now. But today I experienced that my account was logged out.
I am surprised to see this, because it has never happened before, except when I clear my cookies information. If OP has experienced the same issues twice today, it might just be a small malfunction on Bitcointalk. 

Forum issues have never caused anyone to be logged out from Forum before...if it's a Forum malfunction everyone in forum will experience same, the possible thing that may cause the issue of logged out account, has been outlined by Welsh

In other people that made mentioned of apps, including me, that is another possible reason why such logged out will be experienced.

This happens when you logout in another device. So, if you are logged in more than one device, the moment you logout in one, others will automatically logout.

Sometimes, if I want to make a reply, I would be logged out, just like your case. What I do is to quickly close that tab and reopen another and I will remain logged in. Maybe that very tab expired or so...

I checked my account on both devices and it is still logged in, the most common reason is when we clear the browser cookies just like mentioned in the first few replies. Or it could be due to the browser setting. I too often face a logout in my mobile which is due to the optimization or some kind of settings but that is different.

Can you check the account logged in from both device or still it's logged in one device?

While we are at this topic, my account just got logged out, yet again a few moments back, some minutes after I had made the previous post. It all looks pretty random for now, and I don't know if other people experience the same, but i sort of know why OP is alarmed.
