This is impressive, seeing countries initiating these events would help a lot of their citizens who win such lotteries to keep up with life. I have not really seen an event of this nature in my country; all they care about is embezzling and not encouraging events that could alleviate their citizens from poverty and penury.  This amount is a big one to say, and I believe whoever wins it would make good use of it judiciously.

It is impressive because the amount we get here is full and free from taxations but I don't see it is said that it was free to join on such a lottery event. So what if there is still a payment here just like on a regular lottery? And then, we know that lottery mainly relies on luck and its odds are too high. This is the reason why a poor that tries their luck on gambling and plays heavily have became even poorer.

It is a big amount indeed, so one might actually get overwhelmed and spend it recklessly until they lost every penny of it. Sometimes it is the small amount that is being appreciated the most because they are just a small amount anyway.

I doubt if the government do not take tax from such a huge amount of money from the winner. Although it might feel like they are not taking tax, like they just give the winner the amount just like that, but believe me, they likely might have removed the tax from the money before they put it out or call out the figure to be won so people would think that the government did not take anything from the lottery winner or wins.

Anyone involved in the lottery should already know what they are signing up for because the possibility of them winning is very small compared to the huge number of participants taking part in the lottery. It's a game of luck and should not be relied on to make one rich. Anyone who wins a lottery is termed to be fortunate because it's a pure game of luck.

Wow the price look very enticing but is it possible for such amounts not to be taxed by the government, I haven't heard of such lottery win in such manner, talk more of it happening in my country. Cause as we know most huge amounts won mostly are basically taxed or deduction abruptly so there's no way one can actually bypass that and go home with such huge amounts without it being deducted.

The amount involved in the lottery is quite incredible and as a winner, you get to keep the full amount. The OP mentioned that the winnings has already been tax deducted, meaning the government has already taken a good chunk of the total amount as tax and the $182 million is the net amount that's left for the winner.
I particularly liked that it's held at the end of the year and the incredibly lucky person that gets to win the money steps into the new year with his life significantly better as that amount could set up someone for life. Assuming, he doesn't squander it all as he'll come to know just how easy it is to spend money on irrelevant things.

Maybe he did not really understand the story very well otherwise he would not make such a comment. The government sponsoring such events are quite alright because at least in their own way, they are supporting their citizens become millionaires which is not a bad idea. I can not even remember the last time my government  did  free give away to the civil servants talk less of even sharing  anything meaningful like this.

That kind of money would solve the life of any normal person on planet Earth, a dream for many. If I won, I would keep a simple lifestyle for at least two years to throw off thieves. hehe

But this is still lottery, the chances of winning are very slim, and I wouldn’t rely my future on it so I won’t be spending a lot of money on lottery tickets.

Yes there are winners, but I believe there are also millions of ticket holders still hoping they’ll hit the jackpot someday.

Yes, it’s very difficult to win the lottery. I practically don’t play official lotteries, I only play once a year, and with little money. It’s more like peace of mind, so I don’t regret not playing, since it’s so much money that it feels worth taking a chance.

I’ve never heard of this lottery because I live far from Brazil. The amount the winner gets is huge and would probably change their life.  If I won the lottery, I’d buy myself a football club. There are lotteries in my country too, but they’re not very popular now. Most people prefer placing bets or playing in online casinos.

And the winner of this day not only enters the new year with a significantly improved life, but also all the subsequent years of their life. It would be wise to invest at least half of these funds in various classic assets - gold, securities of leading companies and governments, and perhaps even Bitcoin. This means that they already collect the taxes and only show the amount that the user will receive, the net amount, the total amount with the taxes already deducted by the government
I think this is much better than showing a higher amount and then deducting the taxes after the raffle

It's a very big prize, if it's in my country I'll enter, or do they allow people outside their country to enter this event or not, it seems like it's too late now maybe later this year it can be done, and hey has anyone won in this event for now? The schools and health system still need money even if there is a lot of waste and corruption so I still prefer this because without money they just keep raising taxes forever. At least with a prize like this they can hold at least a bit and the life of everybody can get 1% better for a moment.

If they just send to other winners then just a hundred people will get a lot of money and most of the participants which are millions will not get a cent. I for example played in this lottery and did not win anything.

There's no lottery game in my country that is only played at the end of the year, there's one popular company called lotto, the game is just always without season, except there's a new system that was just introduced. It's the first time I'm hearing this too, I don't know they organize such special event.

Lotto is a well-known brand in this country. Sometimes as a regular business, they could also consider such a service – not that they will be funding it fully since the ticket will be bought with money, but they can also offer it as an end-of-the-year ticket, just as this rice company does. You have to get the ticket each time you purchase a bag of their products, and every month 2-5 lucky persons win, but that doesn't affect their regular business.
