I got hooked and started playing almost daily. And we all know slots have a huge house edge, so most of the time, you still end up losing. What I realized is that I lost something more valuable than money, my time.

Or you can bet with a higher amount to save you from grinding that takes a lot of time.  Like if you used to bet at $0.1, why not make it $1  this way you are able to minimize the time consumed if you are somehow unlucky with your session.

I think that it's a good thought of promising yourself avoiding the same mistakes ever committed. Well, i don't get it completely. Yeah you may lose your money when gambling as it is all about risk and luck but how you lose your time ? Gambling doesn't eat a lot of your time and even if you are spending an hour or so, in gambling, you're getting entertained during that time.

You're right about this, my people once said that(Time is money) at first i didn't understand the meaning until i saw a guy who spend 24 hours in a gambling office almost every day while his mate are spending their time in their working place. Most people feel that they have all the time in the world, not knowing that those time they are wasting for nothing could get them money if they spend it in something important. There is content I read somewhere about time which I so much enjoyed. The author was saying that time is underrated instead of being treated as a precious metal which is rare, and as gamblers we should budget our time the same way we make provision for funds we use in gambling. Once we notice excesses of it being used, then a restructure should be done in order to save it.
