The only meaning of arresting Nicolas Maduro's wife with him is so that no one can lead on behalf of President Nicolas Maduro. Of course, the leaders who will come after Donald Trump in Venezuela will definitely be the only people who are trusted by Donald Trump, while Nicolas Maduro and his wife have never been trusted by Donald Trump. That is why both Nicolas Maduro and his wife have been arrested so that no one from Nicolas Maduro's family can lead Venezuela in the future.

The president was attacked when no a single security was found with him as at the time of the arrest, they met him and just apprehended him like that, while the dame applies to the wife, while she was still on bed before the arrest, i saw the footage released on how the whole operations went and this shows that no where is safe any longer, if the president house cannot be guarded as needed, where else and what else could have been used in preventing for all these from happening.

There has not been a comprehensive investigation and publication of the number of people who were killed and injured. But some news outlets have reported that tens of security officials were killed in the attack. Donald Trump boasted that not a single US soldier lost their lives, but there were fatalities suffered by Nicolas Maduro's guards. Cuba has also announced that 32 of its fighters were killed in the attack.

What president Donald Trump is doing to Venezuela is really bad, because I don't understand how another nation will invade another sovereign nation and even went as far as abducting their president. This is more like act of terrorism, because in the process of the attack innocent civilians might be affected.
The fact that the US government invaded Venezuela and abducted President Nicholas Maduro only shows that they have an interest in Venezuela, because the US government is planning on running Venezuela and in the process of running the affairs of the country, they will definitely have access to all their resources,  which I believe is the interest of the US government.

LOL, how this story is lost battle of US ''regime'' how you call it? They just have arrested president of Venezuela in his own country and haven't faced any consequences. Venezuela allies have dropped them. Same like Russia dropped Syria or Armenia. You can hate or love, but it only shows who is still dominant force in the world.

We saw the pedophile POTUS advertise this abduction and terrorist attacks as a win and some others also repeat it as such, but lets see if this actually is a victory or not.

As I always say, winning or losing depends on the objectives and how many of them were achieved. In this case the main objectives of the US regime was to take control of Venezuela and its vast amount of resources and also gain a solid foothold in the South America. That has completely failed, at least until now since they have not achieved any of these objectives. And now things are backfiring hard!

This rogue regime has been breaking the international law and it has outraged the international community even the US clients (whom falsely refer to themselves as "US allies"). For example over the past 24 hours since the abduction of the legitimate president of Venezuela and his wife, we've been seeing mass protests across Europe in countries like Greece, France, Germany, Italy, ... and the people have been burning the US flag.

On top of that, Trump singlehandedly weakened NATO politically in the future. They can no longer complain about Russian invasion of Ukraine. They can no longer talk about seizing Russian assets. They can no longer complain about China's possible invasion of Taiwan and so on...

We have only witnessed the US in recent years only invade countries without nukes, I ask myself why hasn't the US been able to do this same thing to Russia, China and other countries that are not it's alley. They cannot because these countries has what they the US has. It's been long Trump has had his eyes on Venezuela ever since his first term. Since Maduro is not a fan of the US, they imposed sanctions on them thinking they will come begging but instead they had an alliance with the Asian country of China and Russia and did business with these two nations, the US saw this as a slap to their face and started looking for every reason to invade Venezuela.

It's very obvious that they are always looking for where they will steal oil cheaply, if not why always countries that has crude oil or other valuable mineral resources they are always interested in. The answer is not far fetched, again these countries has more alliance with Russia and China and of course these two Asian countries wants to put an end to the reliance of the petrodollar which is the backbone of the US economy. Any country that the US senses is in connection to the end of this petrodollar is marked for invasion. Gaddafi wanted freedom and over reliance of the US dollar, if course they took him out and Libya is a shadow of it's former self till today, what about the Middle East, especially the Persian side, they have left those areas in ruins with the recent attack that failed last year in Iran just as you stated.

Venezuela with it's vast oil reserve is a ground that the US wants to trade in, few flats ago, I heard Trump claiming that with Maduro in the US custody, the US company can now go into Venezuela, set up based and start drilling their oil. What an impunity.

The US has always been hypocritical of other nations like Russia,  China and North Korea,  but they also do the same thing to criticize these countries of doing. Like the way they kicked against the invasion of Ukraine by Russia or the way they talked about a out China possible invasion of Taiwan or are we going to talking about the way they condemned North Korea for testing their nuclear weapon in the waters south korea.
The US has been doing the same thing for a very long time. They did it in Iran, Syria, Libya and we all know what happened to these countries,  now they are doing it to Venezuela and the international bodies are not saying anything. I am very sure the international bodies will do nothing, because they are all allies of the US and will have their share in the spoil of war. But as you have mentioned, they have really weakened NATO in the future,  because how do you stop someone from doing what they have seen you do, so I think this is more of a mess for the US.

And he knew better since that same War Industry used its influence to force him to deploy the first troops in Vietnam, a blackhole that sucked a lot of resources until '75. Nobody listened. If they had Bush wouldn't have entered USA into another blackhole called West Asia two decades later that so far has sucked between $22 to $25 trillion dollars from American taxpayers; and similarly they have absolutely nothing to show for it! The America 1st, Manifest Destiny, Monroe Doctrine type of BS is creating a circumstance where the rest of the world is learning how to go around us.

I believe everything you just said. I see people celebrate that Nicolas Maduro has been removed. They give several reasons why it is right, but it's becoming clearer that it is greed that is driving it. Some Americans are happy that Trump is making America great. But they fail to realise that he is demarking America. Even America's most reliable allies are scared that their territorial integrity would soon be endangered. Trump cannot force countries to use the dollar. He should seek means to make the dollars more attractive. And sadly he is doing the opposite through his tarrif wars.

That being said, the priority for Venezuela right now should be immediate national stability, because we have seen a couple decades ago when presidents are capture, killed etc, it creates a power vacuum with the possibility of even worse malefactors to take control of the government.

Is there a power vacuum? As far as I can see, Madura agreed to an organised surrender so that the current regime could continue, and he would remain the president. Good luck if the US thinks it can take over Venezuela by force. I believe they have about 3 million trained civilian militia all over the country/ They were trained to protect the villages from the Colombian drug cartels who had become a problem. They could be mobilised in the event of an occupation by the US. The US is bleeding money. and is being played by Russia, China, Iran and Venezuela. When will they wake up to this, and start to fix their internal problems, instead of trying to start a world war. ( which they would lose ).

Please read OP, I've explained it there. As for consequences, the first major one was Denmark activating the 1952 directive. This orders all Danish military personnel to open fire at US the moment they see their forces approaching without needing any secondary orders at all. That is the end of NATO and increases the isolation of USA one step further as a pariah state with a rogue regime.

The steps taken by the United States against the Venezuela president were never expected by anyone. The fact that they kidnapped the president despite being the most powerful country in the world is no longer suppressed. The main thing is that the United States has proven that its aim was not successful. When Maduro was kidnapped, someone else took responsibility for controlling Venezuela. Trump has also warned that if any one doesn't work according to US., he or she will also be punished. Such comments definitely prove that they are not successful in what they intended. The attempt to change the government according to their own wishes has failed. The control and administrative activities of the country are all right. Now the whole world is condemning the United States for such actions. Although many may not be able to say it directly due to fear, no country expects such activities.
