Well, I sent *Ace* a PM a few weeks ago about an idea to standardize extension function and variable names (an open source community maintained bct-core) but there was no time.   But I did make adjustments on my extension to play nicer with friends.  

Unfortunately, your extension still is aggressive towards his friends. A few minutes ago, I noticed my Bitcointalk BRDb score got miscalculated. I suspect, SP did that. So I had to refresh the cache to fix it.
This isn't any major concern. I could always refresh the tool and *Ace* made a global database for that, afaik. But I'm just letting you know that it's still there somewhere.

The only changes are at the core (stability) and the flash faucet system.  When another extension user +Pulses a post, you will see the SP logo flash.  Every hour at a random minute the first flash will turn into a waving bitcoin symbol, and the first user to click on it accesses the faucet.  Since I have access to the database, anything I win (via testing) will not be paid.  As well, after a user wins they see the wave after a slight delay that vanishes over time.  I use OpenNode so the BTC are kept in their custody until sent to your wallet.   For the first few days I have it on manual review for bugs but I will quickly automate it so you can receive a few dollars of bitcoin 24 hours a day.  If you do not enter a BTC address and you win BTC, you'll be required to enter an address at that time.  

I'm probably never winning anything. I have been using it for like a day, but never noticed that Bitcoin symbol. LOL
Anyway, the mobile version also works, tested it on Mises browser (Chromium based) in guest, no mistouch issues or anything. Successfully restored my account there.
But it would be better if I could use it on Firefox mobile, so waiting for the extension store release update.

I think I understand what the problem is. I have a feeling that the dark theme of Shadow Pulse is the issue. But only you can clear up this doubt for me! When my tool gives you the wrong score, do you happen to have the dark theme enabled?
If so, that could be the problem, but we should do a litmus test! Does the same thing happen with the light theme?
If you could pay attention to this, it would be a great help in identifying what is causing the two scripts to conflict.

I'm wondering if your extension causes mine to crash?  I'm doing final faucet testing tonight and then I'll ask Babo to audit - then we can know.  In the meantime I found an overflow bug in the price chart that would cause the extension to disable.  I needed to fix this forum's search page anyway, so I updated the extension.

It could be, I'm not ruling anything out, it could very well be my script, but then another dilemma arises! Which of my many scripts is blocking your extension?
However, from yesterday to this morning, the extension has been running without crashing, so that's already a good starting point.

I haven't noticed anything particular to that. No I did not have dark theme enabled at that time. I have been using it with white theme all along. I did changed and reverted back a couple of times but I'm mostly on light theme.

Yeah, I won some BTC today, but the amount was very insignificant. If you really want to keep the faucet running, I would suggest setting a minimum amount before it can be withdrawn. Because the amount I got can't even cover the transaction fees. So, until the minimum amount is met, the balances will just add up in the user's account, for example like points or something else.

Bug found: Dark theme isn't working anymore. When I switch to it, everything becomes dark, and as soon I click the refresh button, everything goes back to light. Would you mind checking that?

Yeah, I noticed that. I won twice today. As for the faucet amount, I'm not complaining or anything but only stating that it was very little, considering my pulse power, multiplication and everything. I remember it to be 0.00000149BTC, which doesn't cover fees (I don't know how opennode works). So my suggestion was, after a user accumulates a certain amount, let's say $5-10, then you should proceed with the rewards. I assume you understood what I meant (I'm not really good at choosing the right words ).

As soon as I get sponsor payment (later today) I'll process those wins.

Please update to the latest version - I can't reproduce the theme bug, but I made some changes to theming, and the backend might not be compatible with the extension.

Updated to v1.10.89, hopefully it's the latest one. The bug is gone now. I cannot reproduce it either.

Close.   Every week the top 80% of users will have their pulse power multiplied.  This power gives you more "weight" when calculating rankings.  Additionally, anything you win in the faucet is also multiplied by this power.  Your pulse power has no effect on probability.   The first person to click a waving bitcoin wins a base amount - then you have a change to multiply that up to 20x.   There is also an anti-cheat tool in place that delays this wave for a few seconds after each win.   This functionality is designed to catch the users eye when anyone pulses, growing the awareness of the brand.   The flash faucet will attract the newbies who will then start pulsing.  

Edit:  Opennode does not have any kind of wallet system - I'll have to build my own system to accumulate win amounts until you request them.

OK, extension has been slightly modified to include a new link to your faucet info.   It's a proper ledger with every change recorded.   As well, I found a bug where you could trigger your own extension to flash the faucet - costing me dozens of pennies in testing!  :/

My my, you really outdid yourself, an impressive work.
Just updated to version, v2.0.2, everything seems to be in place. Previously, faucet data was missing, but now it's been fixed, though some are still pending. Had no problem with theme changer either.

Btw, Vod, I think the mobile version might have crashed some time ago. I opened my browser and the extension was gone. Gone means reduced to dust. There was absolutely nothing on the extension installation page, no trace of it, no log, no error, nothing, gone. On the other hand, the desktop version is still intact (v2.0.2).

Now, what's the update to the Chrome/Firefox extension store? Would have been better if you pushed that. I would also like to request some information. Can you add a changelog to your site, and info about the latest stable version? I know you probably have been patching, fixing and updating the tool in the background, but here I am with no clue about whether I'm on the latest one, until I manually add the update. And many times, I'm on the older version. I just forgot about updating it.


@*Ace*, with all the recent updates you two have been adding the conflict has been the worst, it's like WW4. At least that's what I observed. Force refresh as well as console code isn't working for me anymore. In the console it says, update to the latest version, but I believe i already am, V0.20.8. Sorry for mentioning you here.

I have no idea how to fix these issues. So, I reinstalled everything. Hopefully that'll fix it, no promises. 
When I reinstalled both. SP behaved this way.

You updated the extension while you had a bitcointalk.org page open - will happen with any extension that reads the page DOM.

The version is still 2.0.2 - I have not updated anything since I killed the graph bug.   The features are fixed - just bug fixing now.  Obviously there is a bug in the code still - maybe something related to a date change or other events that happened when you were not using it.  Let me add debugging code that will help.  I also need to research a better versioning system than the one I created.

Promothing how/where exactly?

Going to post in Beginners and Help as an alternative to merit while they gain trust with an added bonus of a faucet.   Promotion of the faucet in other crypto forums will also bring traffic here.  But I'm too nervous yet to push it as I don't have enough testers.  I'll send you a PM regarding this.

BTW - I just noticed you have V.. as the version number.   That is a bug that was fixed in 2.0.2.

I hope you find a solution to this problem because I really like your userscript, but in my case, it's stressful to have to reinstall it all the time.

The latest version will actually dump the error to the console instead of just closing.   I cannot find the reason, so I have to rely on these errors.

An error is sent and remains visible for a long time, but then mysteriously stops working and deactivates automatically. The main problem is that you have to reinstall the extension in order to use it again.
Can't you collect the errors in your database? Maybe you can see what the underlying problem is. This is just a guess on my part; I don't know anything about programming.

A little update.

The extension still crashes on the mobile version. You install it, it works for like 2–3 days, and then boom, all of a sudden, everything is gone. Like I said previously, it's completely gone. I didn't see any way to retrieve any error logs or anything. It's like someone deleted or removed the extension from my mobile manually. Just as Lillominato89 described, it got removed/deactivated on it's own, so there was nothing on the console either.

As for the desktop, everything seems to be OK, apart from the faucet, which you deliberately paused (otherwise I would have won millions).

I think I found the bug!

The extension was checking for a faucet chance even if the window/tab was not active.  PC (Chrome) memory management is much better so it did not affect desktop.

I'm honoring all faucet wins once I turn it back on.  I'm thinking 10 active users should be enough.
