Yesterday, I watched a movie (Two for the Money) about a gifted former American football player who provides paid predictions for pro and college leagues. At the beginning, he was accurate, but once he became popular and a bunch of players started believing in him, he lost his spark and made many people lose big fortunes.

maybe he got pressured by the amount of people wanting to get predictions from him i haven’t watched the movie but i am guessing that was why he started losing and people are obviously gonna blame him for it

I know some tipsters and influencers here in Philippines, but it seems many of them do this mainly for monetization on their social media accounts, especially Facebook. Aside from that, they also earn from affiliations or referrals, like offering free tips as long as you register using their link. Most of these tipsters probably do not have very high win rates. I always rely on myself and bet on sports based on my own predictions and my own experience. I never trust other people's predictions because all the predictions they make can be full of scams. Maybe the person mentioned above made correct predictions in the beginning and made his fans believe in him, later this talented person cheated his fans. Majority of them don't care about how their fans feel which is the reason why these influencers comes out to promote fake and scam casinos to their followers to be scammed. As long as they get paid, they are fine whether you get scammed or not.

Exactly and if people learn to take it more like a game for fun rather than a job, they’ll probably learn to rely on themselves more when they play, I mean what’s the fun in watching someone else press all the button for you and you just sit there and watch. I know sometimes gamblers may want to make some extra bucks from gambling by relying on tipsters but this shouldn’t become a habit as it could potentially take away the fun from gambling, especially when you lose the game, the fun would be replaced with regret and frustration.

What are the benefits of people who register or subscribe to have access to some gambling information? Does it mean that these influencers know what we don't know? Or do they have access to insider information? If they are very proficient in gambling why are they asking for subscription fees instead of making money from their skills or experience? I don't think I would pay money to belong to any betting platform because all the information one needs to analyse games is freely available.

Honestly there is no one you can trust but yourself. You should not depend on other people you have never even met in person to make decisions for you. The best decisions are those that come from within, based on your own analysis. Advice and tips from influencers should only be used as reference material for making decisions, so that you will have no regrets when things do not go as planned. Moreover, if you lose but it was based on your own analysis, at least there is a sense of satisfaction, and you will learn from that mistake.

For sure majority of gamblers do have this approach or having this emotion on which of course you would be that playing gambling because we do share up with the same goal on which is to make money. These influencers also make predictions based on their own analysis or they just make them haphazardly just to get engagement alone, and there is no guarantee that the predictions they make will come true according to what they say. but unfortunately, most people take it so seriously just because they are influencers with so many followers, and what happens is that so many bettors lose because of the predictions they make, and these influencers just wash their hands and say that it is not their fault and explain that betting is so unpredictable.
