The potential profits is a major factor for many bitcoin holders. I believe there are those in the bitcoin space that do care about the tech but the large majority in my opinion are involved in bitcoin for the money. That’s why there still is panic from supposed bitcoin holders when the market crashes, and also why we have people leaving their coins on centralized exchanges.
