I read a news today where Elon Musk, said "Medical school is now pointless because AI robots will replace human surgery". This is the source: https://phoenix-browser.com/HSohXEDRE9E It reminds me of some articles and discussions about AI robots taking over people's jobs in the future.
I don't know if it's about me alone but I cannot connect to being operated upon by a programmed robot. I believe this is just another big talk by Musk to validate the efficiency AI and the future he projects where AI would be inclusive in every profession but AI itself has limitations and needs a human who understands the processes to be validating it's results.
Without such in place, I cannot fully trust it's output and it's surely not operating on me.

I'm wondering if this should be a concern for professionals who depend on their professions to earn money to survive? If AI takes over the Jobs of drug prescriptions and robots takes over surgeries should there be a good reason to still go to medical schools when robots can do your jobs more accurately?

Somebody who is fully into AI or inventing it would definitely hype what AI would do in the future so that they would promote there business and also make people to start looking into AI. So don't digest all the things they say about it so longs as is something that has not started or seen working. Medical is a very sensitive sector in education and is not easy for something to just come and take over without needing a human help, AI can only be a very helpful tools or innovation on the medical field but the main work is going to be done by people, so this is the only important role it will do.

I am looking at a scenario where i am looking for prescription from a doctor and do not quite understand what i am going through. i go to an AI to explain it and because it is AI, it just work based on what i tell it and not based variables like the way i look as a person and the way a physical observation can open up things that ordinary statement can not reveal.

No matter how many jobs AI can take, their are sectors like the medical sector, engineering sector and some other sectors that no AI can replace the people in those sectors. even if i can easily take up an online course, i would still opt for a physical course as a better option that aids my learning because it is quite practical to learn in a physical environment that doing it remotely.
