Saying is a men thing is just her excuse not to engage due to being skeptical about the whole thing, but while you are advising her to invest in Bitcoin, you should also explain the pros and cons associated in investing in Bitcoin, and also what she should expect, let her know it is not always a bed of roses as so many people do think.
Truly, Bitcoin investment isn't suppose to be gender biased, but I think why more men are dominating in the field is because, naturally men have more stamina for taking risks than women, we take risks all the time so as to reap a good reward, unlike women who prefers often to be conservative and sure, although not everyone, but most.
Secondly, men always tends to find adventuring into the unknown more fun and exciting, Bitcoin is a pretty new technology, and it comes with some forms of risk, I guess the tendency to be more risk takers makes it more exciting to invest into this.
Lastly, men a basically natural providers, so going out there doing everything to make sure they fulfill their roles creates a level of encouragement to engaging into this new shiny thing, that promises wealth and riches after investing.
