Well there are many women in our country that's been skeptical about investing in Bitcoin cause of that mentality, many of them feel that involving in cryptocurrency is a man's thing and have missed good opportunities of buying Bitcoin cheaper. For those of you who have close female friends, sisters and maybe a spouse, ask them about what they think about investing in Bitcoin and here their statement, share your experience in this thread.
What may have affected her reasoning was basically the environment at which she finds herself, her peers don't share the same vision that has to do with Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency, if not for the statement that investing in Bitcoin is a man thing, it is no different than a man who also haven't known Bitcoin should accept, of course he would try to decline the advise.

I know of ladies who gets paid in cryptocurrencies by doing remote jobs, I will actually assume she's just giving excuse if i was the one she said that to, people give excuses when then are not ready to learn.

Normally women dont like going into what has more risk. It is not as if they dont like crypto but they think the risk is to much for them to bear. But even at that their are many women who are into cryptocurrency this days, it was some years back that cryptocurrency is seen as a man thing. Both men are embracing the digital market in this recent time and this is why we are having more women in the cryptocurrency.  Women are investing in cryptocurrency and their are still women who are ignorant in cryptocurrency and sees it as a no go area to go into.

Obviously cryptocurrency and its usage isn't for one gender alone and in this age, anyone who suggests or says it's so is in my opinion, ignorant or just plain stupid. But then, I'm not entirely surprised on the statement made by the lady friend of the OP. There are some fields that are seemingly male dominated, hence the apprehension from females wanting to delve into that field.
I think It's quite the same with gambling. The social norms are changing and not what it used to be. People are free to do whatever they want to do. It works both ways as you would hardly see a male hair stylist or a nail technician in the 1900s but today, there are guys taking care of people nails and hair.
