You're not wrong but that's just right. While regretting in what happened that we can no longer take back the early sell offs we did.
We can only move on and take that as part of our history but, don't let it burn your desire to have more Bitcoin again.
Just try it with all that you can and you do what's necessary as you DCA again back. It doesn't matter if you get only 1/4 or what not.
For as long as you are redeeming yourself from the past mistake you did, that's all that should matter.

A few years ago, I invested in Bitcoin, intending to hold it for a long time while continuing to invest. However, due to my own mistakes, I lost everything due to poor financial management. If I had kept it now, I am sure my assets would be worth over $100,000. Well, I can't dwell on that mistake. I believe what we need is a strong will to recover from our mistakes. By this way, we can achieve our goals, especially in the future. There is no point in dwelling on the past; we need to look to the future and take concrete action. Personally, I am going to start investing in Bitcoin again this year, and I will be doing so soon. This generally happens because losing a large amount of Bitcoin makes it difficult to recover what we've lost. This is due to the Bitcoin price which is increasing significantly every day, making it difficult to recover the same amount of Bitcoin as we lost. Currently, I never think about the amount but instead try to accumulate it whenever I have money because I believe this is much better than dwelling on something that's already been lost.

If we want to recover the same amount of Bitcoin as we lost, we'll need ten times more capital to achieve the same amount and that's impossible to achieve in the near future if our capital resources are limited. Then we also need to think about how this does not make us lose motivation to continue buying and perhaps we can adjust the method based on the money we have.

Am still wondering how possible it could be, because fat from the time past and what we have today, there have been a lot of increase in the market value, though am not saying it's impossible to recover, but the probability may be small except we already invested a lot and also give us some time to mature, this has never happened to me before and I appreciated that.

The price of bitcoin in 2017 was like 4 digits but its ATH is in 6 digits now so recovering what you have sold may not be an easy task and sometimes it might never happen at all if you are just following DCA or small purchase but the goal of buying back is what matter. I don't think I have lost bitcoin before, but I have lost different altcoins because I misplaced the seed phrase to the wallet. And up till now I haven't retrieved them back. But in my own opinion I will say that, trying to get back the exact amount of bitcoin you lost back doesn't make any sense to me, because you are indirectly chasing after your lost and it may likely not end well. So in that case you have to forget about the past and focus on the future, accumulate bitcoin normal no need to rush just because you want to achieve back the exact amount of bitcoin you lost back then. This is how volatility always works: it punishes the unprepared. You didnt lose BTC - you lost a gamble against time preference. The system is designed to reward long-term holders and wreck short-term speculators.

Yeah I mean if you had it early and threw like 6k or 8k back in 2017 and got 2 coins thats a lot easier to meet than the 180k youd have to spend to replace that today. But take heart OP! The longer you live the more earning potential . Im sure you will get even more than what you had if you stick with it!

I have not lost BTC and I hope not to in future. But I do have some loans being defaulted and that money never coming back to me. I have accepted that those people are not paying back and keep it aside for now because they have more or less ghosted me.

So at one point you cannot recover but have to accept the loss and move on. When it comes to just bitcoin, the chances are if you are carefully putting your money at the proper time and not selling at the loss.

Only suggestion I can give is to avoid crypto other than bitcoin and dont waste the money in altcoins. That money will get lost and never come back.

There are various reasons that results to losing our bitcoin. Some due to transactions, hacks, scams or market volatility( though this doesn't count much). But then if you focus on getting what you lost back, you may never be able to realise it on time. You will be stuck thinking about your losses, instead of spending time growing your new investments. Regrets doesn't take us anywhere, that's why as someone who has experienced a lot of draw down in your BTC investment, you should ensure that you focus more on what is important..

I don't usually bother to count my losses in altcoins since I barley invest much in them. I prefer bitcoin on the long term as it's a much better option when we talk about volatility..

I haven't been in a situation where i lost my Bitcoin, but saying from a normal sense it is impossible to recover from the loss, particularly if there is a long period between the time you invested and when the coin was lost. Comparing the purchasing price as at 2-3 years ago is way different than the price of today, since the coins cannot be retrieved, next is to begin another accumulation process, since you are not buying from the former price (cheaper), plus new capital for the current purchase, you are spending and calculating your profits from the last buy, what was lost is already long gone.

You are very correct. For some people, their honest answer is no. So many people lost Bitcoin at the early stage through mistakes, hacks, bad custody or selling too fast, and to make the  same quantity back after is much more difficult as the price and conditions of entry have been changed. What was easy to gather in 2016-2017 now demands far more capital, discipline, and patience. Some uncommon cases has made it back through stacking for a long term, income growth, or conviction that is deep, but they are really on the exception. The real win for many isn't to recover the exact amount, but to survive, learn proper custody, and to rebuild consistently without having to repeat the same previous mistakes.

Someone trying to recover lost bitcoin can lead someone to take further steps that may lead him or her into more losses again, because it can lead someone to chase after losses. So it is just better for someone to forget about the past and face the present, make some good plans, and start another bitcoin investment again. If the amount of Bitcoin that was lost is a big figure and you lost the Bitcoin when the value was low and very affordable, you can not easily recover or buy back that same figure today because the value of Bitcoin might have already increase by 2000x the value it was then, you have to let go of what has been lost and focus on getting what you can afford for the time being. Some people spent 100 Bitcoin in gambling and today not many of them can be able to make back that same figure that they spent, we already know why and it's because they are not easily a huge amount that can cover up buying that same figure.
