It depends what you see or recognize as knowledge generally in gambling but if you ask me, I will say gambling needs your knowledge and understanding too. Since skills is not a guarantee to win on sports bet I think that there is no need to extensively study sports bet because after painstakingly gathering all your stats and doing all the maths you can still lose your bet. It is ok to understand the basics about the sport that you are interested in to atleast analyze the chances that a team has against another in a match. It's definitely possible to succeed in the long run in sports betting and I have a perfect example of that in real life. I know a guy who was feeding his family for more than 20 years by doing sports betting only. I also tried it before I entered the university and I was very successful but then I had to choose between studies and sports betting. I chose studies because I find sports betting risky in the long run.
If you really want to succeed in sports betting, you have to start from a young age and I mean, you have to have an obsession of watching soccer or any other sport on which you plan to place bets. You have to watch every match, read articles about teams, about players and you have to understand the beef between teams. Also, who needs to win the most and for whom it is the most important match matters a lot. If this match is not an important match for the team and the following match decides their fate in Champion's League or something like that, then they won't care much about the current match and will focus on the next one.

I think I'm too lazy for all that. I just pick the options based on their current form and how they play certain games or in certain stadiums, and that's it. I don't have the time to start analysing bets, checking all their history, how they play with certain players and all that.

In some cases, I would begin to question if luck really lies with the ignorant gamblers over the people who over analyze, because i have seen a couple of people who just pick random odds without a proper analysis or knowledge about both teams and they won the bet. I won’t think it is a waste of time, practice they say makes perfect even though in sports betting, I don’t believe there is anything like perfection, you just have to keep trying. That is the part I never understood, because gambling is purely financial and not health related. Meaning if you do end up losing all of your money, and even make a debt, you still have your life ahead of you and sure you will be broke, but I rather be broke and alive, than be dead. Sure you may lose all your time, life, money and everything, that's of course terrible, who can say that it's good.

But you only lost money, it's imaginary thing, you can go live under a bridge and still live, why try to end it all just because you lost money? I am not saying that will be a great life, but there were so many super famous people who endured harsh life and yet came out known and famous. We do not remember Dostoyevski as someone who lived in castles, we remember his books. Don't end it because you have debt and no money and in poverty, learn to live that life and stay alive.
