Well I have been thinking before we calls someone a trader there should be a certain amount that person usually makes from their trading before such person could be called trader, or is it anyone who just ventured into to the market and started making losing are also called trader? And yes, I do have a friend who developed so much interest and passion for trading, but whenever I asked how about your trading stuff what I kept hearing is that market isn't favorable yet but I am trying. Does it mean such person should be called a trader, who can't even an account of what they had made through trading?
What make some to be a trader is when he or she is making progress and profit in trading,he will be so happy to say it that he is trading, many gambling not trading, that's why they make no profit it's all because of gambling inside trading, focus on trading till you will make it,then if you do it within a year and it doesn't favour you, then quite trading and save your head ,or I will advised to start a new business and run to start making money instead of wasting it.

Friends don't share their actual profits they are always sharing how much they have lost, I have one colleague, I don't know if he actually lost any money but he claim to be a trader but he is also doing a job, but he gives time to trading after work. He said he made a lot of money but lost them again because he was greedy, but should I call him a trader? Well I think he earned it, he made money by trading and loses are part of the trading even if we have made a lot of profit one simple mistake can waste it all.

After 1 year of trading, if someone is not successful or profitable, will they quit the trade? I disagree with you because no one has a strategy to succeed in 1 year. Trading and gambling are not the same. If you continue to trade with proper knowledge, success will surely come in the long term. There is no specific timeline to succeed in trading, so if you have confidence, you can continue trading. Profit is not expected in the short term here. If you make one trade in a month, you can consider yourself a trader. You can't call him a gamer.

It's either you trade the market or gamble the market; however, losses don't make you less of a trader, and the distinction is how you trade. Everyone practising trading is a trader, so long as they are doing what they have to do the way it was created and planned. Your confusion comes from the difference between a successful trader and an unsuccessful trader. Note that even unsuccessful traders shouldn't be seen as less, and it's not everybody that is successful in their line of work. But once again, such a trader as your friend must be doing trading rightly, and not gambling before he qualifies (successful or not).

Some of those people are usually just people with FOMO who try trading and then leave after experiencing losses, but what is truly called a trader are those who are consistent and keep learning even after experiencing many losses, and I believe that such people will continue to stay consistent no matter what happens, and that is what is called a trader. Becoming a consistent trader is not easy, especially if they are only influenced by (FOMO) in trading. A lack of sound trading knowledge can lead anyone to eventually quit due to constant losses. There are several conditions we may experience when trading and these usually affect our level of consistency. At first we feel great because we've achieved profits, then we try to increase our leverage, thinking we can achieve even greater profits. At some point due to our lack of trading knowledge we end up losing all our capital in a single trading. I experienced this situation when I first started trading and was forced to quit because I was losing more money. After a thorough evaluation, I discovered that my trading was wrong. What I needed to do wasn't quit, but rather improve my trading skills by learning more. Now trading is not only about looking for big profits but also about how to be consistent and disciplined even though the profits obtained are not too big.

Not only making a profit mate, because I know some professional traders use to experience lost some time but it doesn't mean the person is not a trader, what make you a trader is the experience or knowledge you have to buy coins from the market to trade at your convince because if you don't have the knowledge of trading coins, you will not know when to trade to earn income, i will not agree with you on that, that someone will continue trading when losses are still coming, it will make the person to commit suicide when the losses increase because there is no way for the person to recover the funds, the knowledge of trading is what make you a good trader because someone who don't have the knowledge of decentralized he or she will find it difficult to know what to do in crypto trading.

Just as one cannot call oneself a perfect holder by holding for a few months, it is not reasonable to call one a skilled trader by just a few trades. I think a combination of experience, skill and results defines a trader. A perfect trader observes the market according to their strategy. They have to make decisions based on profit and loss and they know when to stop and when to be aggressive. And to be successful, they have to control every decision based on the situation and not on emotions.

Anyone who spends a decent amount of time speculating markets and analysing profits and losses can be called as a trader. There are good traders and bad traders which will be further classification. But a core trader will be someone who knows how the markets work and how to create an opportunity to make profits out of the volatility. Yes, not all traders end up having profits. Many wind up in loss and those will still keep trying until they start seeing profits on their portfolios. I would still call them as a trader because they did not give up and are still trying their best to make their way up on the ladder.
There will be influenced traders as well who would just like to gain a good social image and would fake trading just to show they are good at it. I would never believe such people who keeps bragging about trading on various socials and keep gaining attention. I am sure your friend is not one of those and he is still trying to climb the ladder which he will succeed in the coming future if he remains consistent.

Lack of wins doesn't mean you should rip someone of their trader title.Someone can be regarded a trader even if they haven't made a win yet. He's literally operating as a beginner with beginner knowledge and efforts. One things I know is if he's actively doing his trading routines but no results yet,he needs a mind shift, change of strategy and some other trading growth requirements. He needs more learning and knowledge.

Yes, I agree with you. Just because someone doesn't make a profit from trading doesn't mean they aren't a trader. We can also call a newbie a trader. Trading is not gambling. It is a completely learnable subject. You can make money from trading with experience and proper education. If someone makes some profit from trading in a new situation, it means they are on the right track. An experienced trader often faces big losses. They have to be patient to recover from them. You can never trade without learning. If someone keeps trading for a long time and keeps losing repeatedly, then their trading strategy needs to be changed. And they need to be educated properly.

I don't know why but I just have this thinking and believe that almost all the persons that claim to be traders and successful ones at that are all not telling the truth because if you go online and see the amount of persons that are claiming to be successful traders, trust me you will be shocked to how easy trading have become and yet they still go around asking people to contribute for them to be taught trading.

Trading as we know is entirely broad and you must defines the types of trading you really want to venture into to enable master and becoming that known in that side while trading. For instance; We have various strategies such as margin trading, arbitrage trading, spot trading, derivatives "futures/options" in all you must know the one that you are comfortable with while trading than just jumping from to another without even knowing how to use them or how it's functions. If you are good in spots trading it would be advisable to stick with that, and if you also finding it very easier trading margin or arbitrage trading then it would be that nice to strictly stick on that particular one to enable you remain focused than jumping from trade to trades which could results to losing more funds.

Anyone can be a trader if they wish to. The only problem there is how to sustain in trading when every outcome turns out to be unexpected and uncertain. This is the reason why majority still chose to focus on pure investing because its less risky and stressful, and there'll be no losses as long as you never sell at a loss price.
But what makes a trader? One can be called a trader if he takes part in buying and selling those coins or assets, regardless if the outcome is favorable or not, profitable or not. In the end, those who have sustained their trades and become long term traders are those who are patient and consistent on their plans and goals.

Those traders who are now in the peak of their success have started as traders who are not even capable and responsible to manage the outcome of their trades.
So every trader must start from a scratch, and as long as there's no quitting or leaving the market behind, every irresponsible investor will definitely turn out to be responsible and highly capable and successful in the end.
A trader will always remain a trader, profitable or not, as long as he won't stop trading in the market.

Strategy, discipline and knowledge of the market, these are all characteristics of good traders, this is what makes trading different from gambling. But the thing is trading involves a lot of knowledge an discipline, some people don't have the time for that because they are looking for how to get paid in a short period of game. you don't really have to trade everyday to be called a trader but you must have good results.

Everyone can easily say that they are traders but not Everyone is actually a trader, the reason why I'm saying that is very simple. trading involves lots of strategic input and discipline, A trader doesn't just wait to take advantage of market changes or dive in to grab opportunities, Being a trader isn't just about making profit from the market but it's about making more profits than losses in the long run.

when they have the knowledge of trading right? You can't just start trading BTC when you don't know the direction when to trade to earn profit like other traders in the market. For you to call yourself a trader you must have read and study everything concerning trading to acquired the knowledge, because you need to spend some money to buy BTC or other coins that will give you opportunity to trade when the market look favourable to traders that have the experience. If you are talking about risk, there is a high risk in crypto trading than crypto investment, because not all the time you trade your crypto to have opportunity to earn what you want from the market but you can invest and have a particular amount of money you will earn from your investment, because you know a particular price the market will get to before you will start selling your BTC to earn massive profits.

You realized that at a right time, but most people fail to realize this that their trading strategy is wrong and it will only make them end up in losses. These people still continue trading until they completely blow their accounts. They would never accept that the way they are trading will never make them gain profits. These people are living in a bubble and think they know everything but at the end, we never see profits approaching their way. Sometimes, thinking we have less knowledge will make you a wise person because you will continue sharpening your skills and learning new methodologies. Taking a step back in trading is really important because only that can save our accounts from being blown. We have to re-analyse our strategies and make necessary changes before we can even start trading. Always starting with a small account will eradicate these mistakes but there is a lot of greed which restricts people from starting slow.
