They don’t ask for it when the amount is low, but I assume they secretly take thecamera picture even in that case. This is just my assumption anyway, because I always expect the worst and prepare for it. Better to be safe than sorry, so to say. But I must say that buying or selling crypto at an ATM is my last option, since the fees involved are very high compared with other available options.
I don't believe if they don't just record your entire act of using bitcoin ATM more than just taking camera picture. Companies always do this and they retain the file for documentation purpose if something arise in the future.
If that is the case around the world, bitcoin ATM will be a massive dealbreaker for it to get your face exposed and still pay the high 5% fee on top of that which is crazy.I don't think it's worth it, do people really use this when they can withdraw from exchange to their bank account in under 2 minutes?
I just find the entire bitcoin ATM business doesn't really have place in the market with all that disadvantages.
