You wouldnto blame the much for the views they have about life. They were born in an era where content creators are raking in millions for doing anything online. All they need to do is go viral, and the money will start coming. Online business and financial transaction has also contributed to this mindset. We live in an era where someone can become suddenly rich by investing in a crypto asset. So they assume that wealth is not built gradually through hard work and consistency.

I am thinking like both. Still working traditionally in my profession. But thinking smart to maximise any opportunity to make quick cash through creativity.

So "Gen Z" are people between 14 and 29 years old... and they are playing the economy like a casino. I am not sure how to understand that, but the economy (life) is for many people like gambling. It's like that when you are living day by day, and you don't know what to expect tomorrow. At the same time, we all have internet, and we see what happens around... This world is one crazy place, and this system is fucked up. For many previous and future generations, it's pretty much the same.

Gen Z didn't choose the economy of the casino. They were born into it. Then everyone acts shocked when they play by the rules. The hypocrisy is almost real.

You want to know why influencer culture is appealing to them? Because they saw their parents getting laid off after decades of loyalty. They saw 2008 happen. They lived through a pandemic that shown how disposable workers actually are. The "work hard for years" narrative requires a belief in the existence of a reward in the system for that work. Why would they believe that? What evidence supports it?

Seeing this as Gen Z being risk-seeking is missing the point completely. They're not taking more risks, they're just honest about the risks that are out there. College debt for a degree to go nowhere? That's a massive risk. Staying at one company in the hopes of getting the advancement that never comes? Also a risk, but one that is socially acceptable. The difference, Gen Z can see through the illusion. They're not stuck on traditional ways because those ways don't work anymore, not because they're immature or short-sighted or with no discipline.

When housing is out of the question and wages are stagnant and retirement is a thing of dreams, yeah, throwing money on crypto starts looking reasonable. But perhaps the question should be why past generations continue to defend a system that doesn't seem to be working after all.

I don't know much about Gen Z but surely I'm someone who still believes in old traditional ways and also a person who's aware of the present markets. Who says that only Gen Z is into Bitcoin? I would say that there're people who were born in 1960's and who're still into Bitcoin, take example of member like JetCash, Philipma1957, who're into Bitcoin but they've seen various technologies emerging and reaching the peak.

It's not just Genz, everyone wants that one big break to change their life completely but what they are doing to make it happen is what matters right?

Those youngsters are exposed to internet era so they have more opportunities and it's easier than ever before but 99% of them are just following random people and think that they will make them rich but what happens is they all just making that 1% from the crowd to become that rich.

It makes sense when you have both mentalities. One thing I like about the people of old is their patience and hard work; they believe that even if what they have at hand is not very productive, a day will come when there will be good productivity.

I really admire their strength. One thing about Gen Z is that they think positively; they have that positive mindset that they can achieve their goals. The world has really changed, and I think that despite things being hard, Gen Z is doing very well. It is good to combine both the old ways and these new ways; I think that with this combination, it is easier to succeed.

As time goes by, the system tends to be more digital, I don't think most of the Gen z are trying to be influencers, it's more like flowing with the system. It isn't about only being influencers, many own a b and online, many do drop chipping, and other things.

If I should use Nigerian as an example: what job can they get from a good degree, in many countries those who study hard and make good degrees aren't scared or worried of not having a well paid job as they should. The system fights against us.

They are different people with different characters, I don't think using Gen z in general actually works for me, in the aspect of people wanting quick money. Even in the days of old the love for quick money was random, but there are always many who still hustle with discipline.

Moreover it's survival of defeat. This doesn't mean they should should engage into anything to make money, but should flow with the chances the system gives them to survive.

I see examples of this in my country, and if we conduct broader research, earning income through social media platforms, especially YouTube, is like a job that cannot be taken lightly. For me, if it has become a trend, then that's good, even though the effort to earn money (payment) requires hard work.

If you can earn income from this type of trend, people no longer need a degree because, in the end, the degree is also for earning money.
A degree is necessary, but it depends on the context. In terms of education, for me, it is essential to know the most fundamental things for a human being, namely what is right and what is wrong. At the very least, with education, people will know how to treat others with humanity.

Basically saying that Gen Z seems to lean more towards taking risks. This might also be observed with how many Gen Z are into cryptocurrency and hoping to hit that one coin that will soar. This generation is the one who experienced a pandemic. The generation where houses are almost impossible to buy. But the generation with probably the most resources available.

They take more risks while not caring for the consequences. They want everything right now, without any patience or endurance to draw long term plans. It's not true it's almost impossible to buy a house these days. It's just that these people wish to acquire houses they can't afford buying.

The media, the school and the families sold Generation Z an idea they are entitled to everything. They were raised believing to have rights to many things, with little duties in counterpart. That is not true or real, though. Now they want to live in Disneyland castle, but can't, because they can't afford it.

At same time, it's completely possible to afford a place in cheaper areas, which can also offer decent life quality and comfort, despite not having the same status of the wealthy areas.

Do you know why? Because they can. It's that simple, they can do this and they have nothing else that has even small chance to making them richer so they realized long ago that even boomers are still keeping the money they made while the Gen Z has no chance of getting it anytime soon.

Maybe millennials will inherit some from the boomers but that will take a long time until the Z ones will get any of this money. So all the money is at the top and Z generation can't get any shred of it, so they just "yolo" their investments. Like doge, or Game stop.

This is more about a change in mindset, where Gen Z has a different view compared to previous generations, and they are more likely to not want to stick to old ways that are rigid and restrict them, so you'll see so many Gen Zers pursuing things that older generations consider less certain.

We can analyze Gen Z in different ways such as continuing to try our own things despite the risks in any field and making those efforts successful. All the risk-taking people we see today are Gen Z because we can do anything with courage, and since we are living in an updated world and are moving from old technology to new technology, we are definitely Gen Z. Degrees are looking like they are becoming obsolete because the money which people expect to earn with a degree after four or five years in college is now being earned in less than a month and it is even more. People are confused on whether they should go to traditional schools or alternate schools. And on top of that employees don't even care anymore as long as whoever they are hiring has the skills and competences. And Gen Zs are getting those skills. So much interesting times ahead for the economy and the future of work.

Gen Z is still following the path of traditional ways,  not all Gen Z are engaged in stocks or playing the economy through cryptocurrency, where they want it to hit like one time big time.   The traditional ways are yet to be obsolete and are still an effective way to build up capital or a career.  There may be new options for opportunity that Gen Z can exploit, but not all of them are successful in this venture.  This is why the majority of Gen Z are still following the traditional ways, like employment and building up their careers.

Yes there are more options for Gen Z to earn money, but I do not think that degrees are becoming obsolete.  If we compare the percentage of Gen Z that pursuing a degree and those who are going into a non-diploma path (people who have the money to pay for college), majority of Gen Z still value formal education.

OP, what you think of Gen Z is wrong. Not all of them sit and wait for opportunities. The Gen Z are the only generations who created opportunity for themselves, unlike the previous generations who rely on the workforce and the traditional system. The Gen Z make use of social media to provide finances, after that, open physical offices and shops that increase opportunities for other citizens. I do not know where you got this perception of Gen Z, but I can't support you on that. You have to rethink what you say is true or not.
