I would say that fear of running out of money and losing a job is very common in developing countries but in developed countries, people rarely fear these things or at least that's what I noticed. People in Europe have a good pension, good health and social insurance, good salaries and even the minimum wage is enough to live a normal life, even if you don't own an apartment and have to pay rent.
While that fear truly exists in business, I think that it's different in top companies. These companies are so wealthy that they can bribe politicians and immediately destroy their competitors but mostly, we all fear tomorrow because nobody knows what's going to happen, we might live, we might die, we might lose everything or gain everything.
The amount of unemployment in USA, or UK or France would show you that even in the most developed nations unemployment is still a serious problem. Obviously not as much as lower income nations, it is not the same in Chad as USA, of course there are differences, but that doesn't mean that we are going to see no unemployed or struggling people there. We still have people who are doing badly there, some are doing even worse because cost of living is so high, if you do not have a good return on profit, you will do badly.
Most of the time it makes more sense for bigger nations to just provide temp jobs to people so they do not starve, and if you are willing to work then there are work to be done and some are doing it, but unemployment is a trouble everywhere, some smaller and some bigger but it's everywhere.
