Hey guys,I would love to use mobile wallet that would let me spend and use BTC on daily basis, but at the same time I can use built in dex that lets me swap BTC <> ETH <> other coins. What is your preferred mobile wallet that works on iOS and is secure, preferrably open source, and self-custodial?

Unstoppable wallet[1] should tick all of your boxes (supports iOS and android, and is fully open source).  You may want to wait for this week's update though. They're going to introduce much more exchanges (both CEXes and DEXes).

You can try cake wallet. It's an open source multicoins wallet with a swap features in it. It's user friendly and very easy to understand. I don't think that I have used any other mobile wallet that has a swap feature on mobile because I use electrum wallet and blue wallet. I only use cake wallet for swapping.

Rather than swapping Bitcoin to altcoins, I recommend you to sell your bitcoins and use it to buy altcoins. It will possibly give you cheaper trading fees than swapping or converting Bitcoin to ETH or ETH to Bitcoin.

Luckily, some exchanges have direct trading pairs from BTC to ETH and ETH to BTC without another third step in between. Swapping and conversion usually will take you more fees than normal trading fee.

Be more careful if you join any swap that requires you to convert your bitcoin to Wrapped bitcoin as a middle step.

Which providers they use for DEX swaps?

I know they support both Maya Protocol as well as Thorchain/thorswap but for some reason, I just tried to do BTC <> ETH swap and only Maya is showing. As for what to expect during this week hopefully (this got delayed a bit, it was supposed to be pushed before):

For everything EVM tokens related (ETH, POL, USDC, USDT, etc.) , there should be plenty of providers.

Thorchain/Decentralized bridges are good but there are usually hidden fees or coins that are frozen.

The easiest is to use centralized noKYC and open it from your browser.

You mean they can freeze your funds? Is that actually a thing that happened before? I was under the impression that's one of the only crosschain DEXes that doesn't KYC you, not because they don't want to, but simply because the way things are built. Same applies to Maya Protocol. I know there was an incident during the Bybit hack, where one DEX (maybe it was ChainFlip, can't recall) blocked the frontend so the hacker cannot use them, but that was about it.

I think any HW incard format is the best option to deliver sufficient security for this.

I do tasks like this almost daily using Tangem mobile app ^{which is open source although the Tangem card itself isn’t} and I’ve found it very convenient for everyday use on the go.

Everyone's "daily usage" amount may vary, but your request falls into the category of a hot wallet, which isn't recommended for use as a primary wallet.
I use the OKX app, and they have their own Web3 wallet with a built-in exchanger that only offers top crypto pairs. However, as I mentioned before, this isn't my primary wallet and I only fund it with no more than $100 if I want to interact with the Web3 ecosystem.
