So, do not let lost Bitcoin stories confuse the real story because Bitcoin works exactly as intended. Lost Bitcoin is mostly a misunderstanding of how Bitcoin ownership and Long term holding work.
Sorry, but what is the misconception here?

I believe the reported cases where people have actually lost their keys and seed phrases are now lost bitcoins but there is still some hope for their owners to retrieve them but until then, they are untouched.

Those who have their keys and are not doing anything, like moving or selling, they want to be like Satoshi and other old whales.

So where is the confusion?
