Why do we gamble?

Overall, I think the real world is much better than the virtual (digital) one. However, it must be acknowledged that the real world has recently become worse than, say, 15 years ago.🙋

The world has become less global than it used to be, and traveling has become much more difficult (and expensive)... Also, I think the people around me have changed a lot. It seems to me that most people live in their own information bubbles. They are immersed in virtual reality and never put down their smartphones. Verbal communication is not as popular as it used to be. Maybe it's an illusion, but it seems to me that people around me have become a bit like zombies...

At the same time, I still crave strong emotions. I enjoy having lots of interesting (and sometimes even dramatic) events in my life. That's why I love gambling. It's a way to speed up my life and experience intense emotions. Perhaps it's a substitute for reality to some extent, but nevertheless, this substitute saves me from stress and boredom. Moreover, I am literally obsessed with self-development and self-knowledge.  So I see gambling as a way to better understand my emotions and motivations (and, as a result, become a better person).💫

Just like the title say, why do we gamble? This is a crucial question that if it's been asked everyone will likely say they gamble to have fun and to be well entertained maybe at their free or bored time.

But if that is the case why do we usually complain most times when we lose or why the persistent chasing of lost or try to get back our lost each time we lose in our gaming streak , perhaps is it that some of us aren't sincere to our self when we usually say we only gamble for the fun? Or is it more in mind that we aren't saying out?

This question require a proper answer nothing turning it upside down because we all know what we want in the game and it's essential to always talk the truth. We cant avoid the fact that we are that playing for money and to those people who are saying that they are just that playing for fun are actually that not honest to themselves because we are just that playing for the sake of money or earning profits on which of course this is th reality. If you are that really playing for fun then good for you but be sure that you would be able to sustain yourself when it comes to possible impulsiveness at the time that you are that losing money on which most people do fail on doing so. Its important that you should be having that control and moderation when it comes into this aspect. Gambling should really be done for the sake of fun and entertainment and not for making profits or making money. Come to think that you are playing just for leisure and winning up some amounts is really just that a bonus. Its important that you do know on what you are dealing on with that you wont be finding yourself that getting addicted in the end of the line. I also sometimes place a bet. I like to do so when major football or hockey tournaments are taking place. I feel like I'm part of this sporting event. However, I don't understand the need to bet too often and control myself in these processes, because uncontrolled betting can lead to tragic consequences that can have a significant and negative impact on our lives. Anyway you are saying based on your perspectives. It is not every gamblers that have the intention to gamble for fun, so many people are into gamble because they all believe that it is a medium to make money. Some people also gamble because they take it to be a means of entertainment so they don't worry too much anytime they lose. Sometimes I gamble for the profit but it doesn't mean that I'm not careful with my bet, I do not deposit another money if I lose the initial amount I deposited. I don't chase my losses with because I know that doing so will bring more losses. It is not every gamblers that have the same intentions for gamble.

Like I will always say, we tell our selfs that gambling is for fun just as a way to prevent emotional issues while gambling.. an experienced gambling is able to control his emotions completely during wins or loss. Not only in bad cases, any uncontrolled action is a cause of harm to us. There are many gamblers who cannot control themselves. Due to lack of control, if they lose a bet, they place big bets later to recover the loss. In this, they are under pressure to recover the loss. If they place bets while under pressure, the chances of losing are high. But if someone is betting for entertainment, then they enjoy the game without paying attention to whether they lose or win. Well, some games can be fun to play, and there are some people whose primary interest is just to have fun and nothing much more. Some casino games like slots, blackjack, and others are fun. So it is possible that people gamble for fun, and even if they lose, it doesn't mean anything to them because they play with an amount that they can afford to lose, and the primary purpose is just to have fun.

I know gamers who are used to sports betting will find it difficult to see that gambling is fun to play because in sports betting you just bet on predictions and wait for the outcome of the game.

I don't know if people actually make such excuses or not, but one thing is for sure, people never talk about their losses until they become unbearable or extremely large. A gambler will always tell you about how they got a big win, how they won so much money, but they won't always tell you that they've lost money in gambling, it's just a human instinct that is found in everyone, which tells them that people are going to judge them and say that they shouldn't have done it in the first place as soon as they come to know that they've lost a significant amount only in gambling, but when people are told about winnings, they might have different reactions.

I believe whether a person gambles for fun or for funds depends on their financial situation and status. If you are struggling in life in general, work 9 to 5 and don't get enough to save up or do a lot of things apart from covering the necessary expenses and the bills, you will probably think of trying your luck once or twice a month only with the hope that one of these days, your luck may spark and gambling may change your life for once and for all. However, if you are doing financially okay, you are making good money from other sources already, then your mindset about gambling will probably be different.
