Deleting your post won't help at all, the most important thing you should be thinking about is how to increase the quality of your posts so that you will not make such mistakes anymore. However, I see that you have no better ideas to think of that is why you have to bring up the discussion. Well you have been answered that nothing will happen if you delete your post, just your rank will reduce and your activities will also reduce. Nothing don't be scared, nothin will happen to your merits because some posts have been deleted after receiving merit/s and the merits is still there.

I have been thinking about this lately

Is it possible to start cleaning or deleting my own posts without getting penalised for it?
I look back on my past posts and there are few ones I don't like, is it free to delete on my own?

If I delete past posts it will affect my activity right? But I don't mind, because I suck at one time in the past, all that I think should happen is lower activity dragging me back but I will in return have a cleaner account.

Any moderator can verify if this is something I can do on my own or avoid?

They won’t actually penalized you for deleting your old post , but the truth is that we all once had that phase where don’t actually know we where doing , all we know we were just replying thread with the little knowledge we had then, while there are some users that already familiar with how bitcoin works before coming to this forum .

So the phase is normal , all that matter is your growth not your past errors . So you can even use it to keep track on how far you have come .

Why don't you like your previous post? If your post is useful, then you don't need to delete it. It could be valuable, whether it could be useful to others someday, whether it will be relevant or start being discussed, or even could help others if you provide good information, or advice. Therefore, you need to reconsider what you dislike, because your post could potentially be liked by others. You don't need to bother deleting it, the moderators will monitor every post on this forum, and I believe they are quite professional in doing so, or you might be able to point out which post you are referring to, so that it can be reviewed.

If you think your post is not good/high quality and wanted to delete it then go ahead. There's no penalty in deleting it and in my opinion, I think it also contribute to the forum in cleaning low quality post. Mods are very busy and cannot do all the job in such as short time that's why there's a report button to help clear the forum with low quality posts. Everyone has something like yours as we all start from being inexperience and made some mistakes but along the way we now see that it's only normal since not all started with vast knowledge unless you are the creator or something like that.

That's actually your choice. You'll never be penalized with that. But your number of activity will get compromised.

I also have made less quality and even off-topic posts before but what can I do, I was still learning that time so its normal to create posts like that. But the choice is yours if you want to delete your old posts, that's your account so better take charge of it.

However, just try to let you know that all our previous posts can still be monitored by the admin, deleted or not as everything are saved already. So you have to be very careful with the posts you have been creating to avoid getting banned temporarily or permanently especially if you are not abiding with the forum rules.
